A: Yellow an fizzy. Nothing worth noting here.

S: Bisquits, malt. Some sweet skunk.

T: Bready, some malts. Off-putting funky bitterness at the back. Not like a dry-hopped bitterness, but, strange.

M: Bitter finish kinda ruins the feel.

D: Rather dull beer. Not near as crisp as many Pils around.

Poured into an Ephemere pilsner glass.

Appearance - Pours with two full fingers of soft cloudy head. Color is pale yellow and very transparent. Not a very interesting looking beer. Sort of bland, boring and just yellow. Poor lacing. Looks sort of like champagne.

Smell - Light floral notes are noticeable at first, followed by light hops and malts as well. Slight hints of grass and wheat.

Taste - Floral and banana notes make themselves apparent right away. Quite a flavorful pilsner, filled with many different types of floral notes. Crisp and clear.

Mouthfeel / Drinkability - Smooth and crisp. Easily drinkable and I enjoyed tasting all the different floral notes. Refreshing and easily drinkable.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass

Appearance-burnished gold in color. Brilliant clarity. Fine, moderately low off-white head with moderate retention.

Aroma-Malt overwhelms the hops in the aroma. Malt smells like crackers, with a background note of biscuits, as well as sweet caramel. The caramel sweetness smells more crystal-malt derived than the complex malt aromas that a decoction mash would lend. Hops are light, and its difficult to pick out a specific aroma amongst the malt. Light mineral character, almost salty.

Flavor-Grainy, cracker like malt takes the forefront here. Light caramel flavor, but quite subdued as compared with the aroma. Hops have a moderate spicy flavor and moderately low bitterness, a bit low for the style in both respects. The most glaring flaw is the mineral character, which I found somewhat overwhelming in the finish. It tastes almost outright salty, and leaves a puckering sensation in the finish, similar to sucking on salt crystals.

Mouthfeel-Medium body. Moderately high carbonation. Not astringent, but somewhat puckering from the high mineral character.

I love Lagunitas, but this beer did not hit the mark. The mineral character is so overt that I find it somewhat unbearable. I would most liken it to an overly salty saltine cracker.

On tap at Portside in Port Jefferson, NY. Served in a pint glass.

Look: light gold body, thin white head, decent retention and lacing. Looks like a pils.

Smell: hoppy citrus zest, fresh grass, and pilsner malt.

Taste: a little too sweet for a pilsner. Malty body with some grassy, citrusy hops. Its not as dry as I would've liked and the malt is too forward.

Feel: light bodied, easy drinking, crisp carbonation, refreshing on a hot day and could be something you'd session if it wasn't 6.2% ABV, which seems high for a pils.

Overall: this is okay but calling it a Czech Pilsener seems misleading. It tastes like an American pale lager, so don't buy this thinking you're getting an authentic Czech Pils. Cheers!

Appearance- Light straw like in color with a rich, dense creamy head. Very inviting beer.

Smell- Flowery, almost perfumy smell, hints of lavender?

Taste- Crisp, and dry with a distinctive hop presence, that is not overpowering but really drives the hop flavor to the forefront.

Mothfeel- Nice carbonation, with medium body. smooth and a subtle almost breadlike quality.

Drinkability- This is a delicious beer, Appropriate on a hot summer day, or anytime you need your thirst quenched. Makes me want to brew up 10 gallons of the stuff right now.

First beer in my fancy new tulip tasting glass.

A: Aggressive pour leads to two fingers khaki white carbonation. Head retention is moderately high, with nice lacing. Beer itself is a brilliant jaundiced straw. Fairly moderate carbonation.

S: Smacks of honey, caramel, husked grain and a bit of tart fruit. Mild herbal notes detected as well. The grain really dominates the nose.

T: Husked, milled grain are immediately enveloped by grassy, herbaceous notes the translate into a floral, spicy back with a long, bittering finish.

M: A bit fuller in the body than many Bohemian style Pilseners, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The added alcohol and malts definitely help to balance the increase in hops that this beer gets.

O: Nice Americanized version of the style. Easy drinking, but still packing a good punch of flavor and bitterness.

A- Straw golden color that appears to be a very fizzy brew. About a one finger head that subdues with bubbling.

S- Slight hop aroma, smells a bit like yeast. Nothing out of the ordinary here, a very generic pilsner smell.

T- Malty with slight hop flavor and tiny bitterness towards end of taste, other than that, not much.

M- Quite a bit of carbonation. Very light bodied and refreshing to the mouth.

D- Very easy to drink, very drinkable. Typical pilsner style...

Overall, quite a nice pilsner, but lacked any quality that made it special. Very enjoyable and perfect for a summer day, but would have liked a bit more hop flavor and bitterness.
