Poured into a snifter at cellar temperature.
The Cappuccino Stout has a two to three finger, light khaki head and an almost black body. It has the same slight transparency in shallow places that black coffee has.
Fabulous aroma. Vanilla, chocolate-covered raisins, caramel, a hint of molasses or maple, and the expected milky coffee, round out an incredibly good smell. Outstanding milk chocolate in there.
In the flavor, the awesome array of sweet, dessert-like qualities from the aroma are joined with the appropriate and wonderfully complementary earthiness and slightly bitter roastiness one would expect in a stout. Not quite as impactful as the aroma, but still tasty.
The feel is kind of medium-bodied. I wouldn't mind an imperial stout like this being a bit thicker, but it drinks pretty well.
A very well-put-together coffee-infused stout.
