A - Pours a clear light reddish brown with a minimal tan head. Good retention and lacing on what little head there is, though.
S - Grapefruit hops and sweet malt. Toasted caramel sugar and light spice.
T - Huge amount of grapefruit hops up front followed by a blast of spices (pepper, brown sugar, cinnamon) and a hint of caramel. Finishes dry and boozy. Not as much brown sugar taste as the name implies but it is well balanced and very interesting.
M - Creamy and slightly chewy with minimal carbonation.
D - Very high abv and too much flavor for me to session (although I managed three on Thanksgiving). The flavors open up more as it warms so I would recommend sipping it.
