On tap at Tremont Tap House. Poured into a small tasteing glass.
A - Light brown in color, almost maple syrupy looking. Clear with no haze at all. Looks refreshing. Has a small one finger head on it that has pretty good retention. Small lacing on the glass after I finish.
S - Smells of sweet malts and molasses with loads of citrusy hops backing it up. Some smokey and roasted malts are also present. A nice balance of hops and malts. The IBU's definitely suprise me here because at 50 or so, it smells like theres way more.
T - Taste is very hop forward. Loads of piney and citrusy hops with some spicey and sweet tones as well. A all around great ale, the 10% alcohol isn't present in the mouth at all.
M - Mouthfeel is medium with a big bitter finish due to the hops.
D - A nice all around great ale from Lagunitas. Very balance and tasty. I'd get this again for sure.

appearance; amber that isn't clear nor opaque, some light bubbles. ridiculously thick head that rises very high and a good finger retains till the very end. the kind of head that a part of you always wants to see when you pour a beer.
smell; between this and lagunitas lil sumpin sumpin ale, lagunitas might deserve the title of brewery that makes the best smelling beers, the aroma is a heavenly blend of caramel, hops and a bit of earthiness.
taste; ltrue to its name, burnt brown sugar is obvious, but smoothly joins together with a touch of earth and mildly bitter hops with a hint of spiciness. the alchohal is there but not overpowering at all.
mouthfeel; a bit creamy, medium carbonation, wet finish, full body. excellent extremely satisfying and unique yet easy to drink and highly pallet able, will buy again and recommend to anyone who appreciates good beer.

Pours a deep amber color with a slight white cap. This is nice and clear.
The nose is sweet with prominent brown sugar. The hops peak through to mix it up.
The taste is sweet but not too much. A nice malty and brown sugga sweetness with a good dose of hops.
Mouthfeel is medium full with moderate carbonation.
I really liked this one. Had been wanting to try it but hard to find. Thanks to Jose for sharing!
