P: Crystal clear ruby copper body with a dense off white creamy head. A few bubbles cascading toward the massive cloud of froth that stays for a considerable amount of time. Chunky lacing left behind.
S: Toasted malt base, faint caramel, orange peel, dank resinous pine, twiggy, and peppery spice. Slight phenol once warmed.
T/M: Rich toasted caramel and busquity malt, orange oil and the same dank resiny pine. A little wood on the backend with earthy dryness. Spicy orange rind alcohol comes in toward the end once the beer warms. Great slightly carbonated body that rolls across the tongue nicely.
O: This beer is a dangerous one. The ABV doesn't really show and it's nice and smooth. Creamy with citrus and resin combined in a flattering spice profile to marry with the rich toasted caramel malts. Affordable and delicious, a true winner.

Gotta love the label graphic - nicely done
Looks like this was bottled about April 23rd 2013, so it's got a lot of age on it now! Bought at the end of last September and mistakenly aged. That might explain why it came across as more of an ESB than an American amber.
Poured from the 22 oz. bomber into a Samuel Adams nonick.
a: Nearly clear dark amber/copper with an inch plus offwhite head which receded to rocky surface foam and dense lacing.
s: Mild caramel malt.
t; First impression is its pleasing silky smoothness, followed by a nice caramel malt and hops balance. Sweet to dry finish. Its 8.65% ABV is well concealed.
m: Medium, silky smooth.
o: A very enjoyable and satisfying ESB-style ale, highly sippable and savory in texture and overall taste. I'd buy this again anytime of year. However I'll need to try a much fresher bottle to confirm this.
