Pale golden, but with a little orange in there - could definitely be all pale malt. Forms a decent head but nothing spectacular. The sticky lacing always looks nice on these hop bombs, and this one has it.
Hop aroma is refreshing and juicy with grapefruit and lemon in there. Pine aroma is a little more forward though, with some herbal hop that seems to enhance it. Aroma isn't quite as extreme as I expected though - not one of those that hits you as soon as the cap pops off. Malt aroma? Esters? Yeah right.
In the taste, the citrus seems to give way to heavy herbal and pine flavors, playing only a minor role. Pretty heavy on the bitterness. No malt flavor really makes it through. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, but you can definitely feel it warm your whole body.
Bitterness has a little harshness to it. I am definitely curious what hops they use - Chinook? Columbus? Mouthfeel a little thin for the ABV, enhancing the harshness of the bitterness even more. They could improve the mash - either the schedule or the grain bill - something to give it enough body to support the bitterness and heavy pine/herbal flavors. Bear Republic actually does a great job of this.

A - clear amber, frothy one finger head fades to film.
S - tropical fruit salad, mango, floral hops.
T - on money, fruit salad still, pineapple, hops to the fore and well balanced. Little bittering hops makes easy drinking. Good malt backbone. Hint grapefruit / pine. Overall quite a moderate taste level.
M - medium weight, moderate carbonation. One stage from oily. No hint of ABV save a little warmth.
O - excellent effort, well balanced beer, not as in your face as I would have expected.
