A - Pours clear gold to amber color with adequate off-white head comprised of mostly larger-sized bubbles. Minor lacing on the glass upon dissipation to a thin ring.
S - Aromatic dry hops up front mixed with caramel malt and alcohol. Hop profile is grassy and earthy, with citrus and pine mixed in.
T - Sweet caramel malts with lots of hop flavor that follows the aroma profile. "Smell" in the nose that occurs during swallowing is vegetal hoppy. Bitterness is average for the double. Bottle says 102 IBU - Noticeable, but not over the top. Well balanced.
M - Carbonation bite followed by bitterness. Sweet on the tongue, but finishes dry. Lingering bitterness that numbs the tongue. Body is moderate.
D - Very drinkable. I would buy another and share it this time.
Overall - Nice DIPA. Only negative is that the vegetal dry hop component may be a bit overpowering. Otherwise, really good beer.
