A: Pours a beautiful golden, copper in color with a plethora of thick, creamy white head that lasts. Tons of lacing. Carbonation levels are solid. Exactly what you want to see from an IPA. All signs point to plenty of hops with a bit of balance from a malt backbone.
S: Tons of spicy hops, pine resin and a subtly sweet malt presence lingering in the background. Slightly rubbery and some alcohol and vinegar. Potent, though maybe slightly more piney than I am fond of.
T: Similar to the nose on the palate. Starts hot and spicy with tons of hops and a good amount of pine. Citrusy grapefruit and grainy malts seep in towards the middle and sticking around all the way through the finish. Aftertaste is citrus and grains. A tad bitter for my tastes and even a bit piney. I prefer more balanced, citrus dominant hops, but I knew what to expect here.
M: Medium bodied with good carbonation and a smooth and slightly oily/sticky feel on the tongue. Easily drinkable, especially at 8.00% ABV, and the alcohol is masked quite nicely on the palate. Slightly acidic and a bit thin, if I were to complain.
O: A solid West coast style IPA ("hop bomb"). I've had better, but this one is sure to please. Quality and craftsmanship are definitely there and it's quite flavorful while remaining drinkable. Probably not an IPA I would turn to on a regular basis, but definitely something I would recommend to those seeking to quench a hop-craving and no doubt a great example of the style (especially considering the location). Another solid one from Lagunitas. Cheers!

appearance; hazy orange, evident carbonation, crazy head with good retention.
smell; tropical fruit notes are off the hook. very strong aroma of guava, passion fruit and pineapple. with a bit of hoppy pine in there as well.
taste; sweet tropical fruit, the guava and passion fruit are there, backed up by malt and then a ltlle bit of hop bitterness to finish.
mouthfeel; medium body, slightly creamier then excepted, alot of bubbles.
overall; really underated beer in my opinion, great experience, great value, would easily buy again.
