22oz bottle (code 07636319 - no idea what that indicates) into a tulip. Pours a perfectly clear, coppery orange w/ a thick frothy head, minimal carbonation.

Aroma is all tropical citrusy piney goodness. Resinous and hoppy, clean and bright.

Taste is, of course, sharply hoppy and bitter. Pine resin, grapefruit. On the malt side there's a dry, biscuity pale malt presence along with just a note of sticky honey sweetness that provides a good counterpoint to the hops. There's some alcohol warmth too, which adds to the flavor profile but never becomes overbearing.

Mouthfeel is a little sticky, medium-bodied. Lingers on the palate, doesn't evaporate.

Overall this is a solid go-to DIPA that I don't buy often enough. Would love to see this one in 12oz cans.

This is a pretty good IPA. A pretty decent hoppiness to it. The hops really hit strong up front on the sip, but less so in the aftertaste of the swallow than some beers. In particular, I found this to be a bit too carbonated for my taste. The tanginess of the citrus/grapefruit flavors also stand out a bit much, threatening to overwhelm the bitterness of the hops. A pretty tasty IPA, that isn't bad if you are looking for hop heavy beer, but not the full fledged hop heaviness you might expect from the name.

Poured this from a 1.5 pint bottle into a pint glass. Pours a nice medium amber color. It has a short, bubbly head which dissipates pretty quickly. Ample lacing on the glass which lasts for a pretty long time. Overall, nothing unexpected for an IPA.

The smell is sort of unremarkable - it smells mainly of alcohol to me, but you can detect a bit of citrus/grapefruit in there too.

The taste is excellent. It's not a very complex beer, but it's good for what it is. It's quite bitter, with a lot of grapefruit flavors up front. Piney. Bready/biscuity aftertaste. A faint finish of alcohol, but nothing too potent.

This beer has a nice mouthfeel. Not too thin, not too heavy. Moderate, pleasant carbonation.

Overall this is a very good beer. Not my favorite IPA, but one I've had several times and enjoyed.

Pours a crystal clear bronze color. The head dissipates to a small ring pretty quickly but coats the glass in lace patches. Scads of pine and citrus aromas fill the nose. You can tell right away this is going to be a hop bomb. The taste is hops first with grapefruit, pine and floral notes mingling with a strong bitterness. Malts are submissive in the background, but always present enough for this beer to claim balance. Mouthfeel is thick with both carbonation and mouthcoating bitterness. The finish lasts as long as any hop bomb can, basically forever. Very bitter and quenching.

This is a great DIPA and totally a great deal. Very hoppy and incredibly well hidden ABV. Another great West Coast hop bomb. Seek it out. Now.

Pours a nice pale golden amber. Good amount of white/off-white head. Good retention. Mounds of hop aroma, ranging from citrus (pineapple, orange), to pine to floral to grassy. Great hop depth here. Taste is quite bitter and dominated by hops. Following the nose with citrus, pine, and grass. Not much left for the malt, but some caramel sweetness sneaks through. Mouthfeel is quite bitter and puckering, but it's a good thing. Overall a fine IPA beer, I thought 102 IBUs would be more bitter than this, but that's not a complaint. The taste and aroma really shine here.
