The ale pours out a clear copper color with a massive foamy sticky white head. Has excellent lacing and retention. Pretty much a good IPA should look like!
The aroma is thick with pine cone, ripe fruits, and a little bit of balance from the alcohol and malt.
The first flavor to hit the tongue is the intense dry bitterness from the hops. Pine, floral, and citrus note are present in all the hop profile. Then after a quick dry hop on the tongue and good amount of bread and alcohol sweetness kick in.
Easy to drink, very warming, and finishes dry and bitter with sour fruit notes lingering.
Hands down this DIPA is a hop head's dream come true and is a near perfect example of what this truly a American style of IPA should taste like. A punch to the taste buds! Sexy! haha

Poured from 22oz bottle into pint glass. From Total Wine in Huntersville.
Poured a deep amber color. About the same color typical of an IPA, but is cloudy rather than translucent. Smelled of intense floral hops.
The taste is strong in citrus and hops. With so much hops, this beer is surprisingly balanced and drinkable. There is a slight aftertaste of alcohol as well. I feel like I could drink two or three of them, though a few of the 22oz bottles would put me on my ass for sure. This is definitely a beer that I would suggest trying at least once.

From a 22 ounce bottle with no freshness date but a square photo as opposed to the oval one shown here, poured into a tulip glass.
A: This beer looks pretty good, a very clean deep amber body with lots of carbonation activity on the pour. There's a very thin white head, but it quickly goes away.
S: Very appealing with a huge sweet fruity profile, apples and pear take the nose. There's hints of bitter pine in there as well, but very mellow.
T: This is fantastic! Incredibly balanced with a lot of flavors balanced well. The main thing I taste is sweet apples with pine notes. This is very well balanced though and easy to drink.
M: A very crisp medium body with good snappy carbonation. This feels great!
O: Almost perfect, heck maybe it is fresh. This is incredibly drinkable though with a nice flavor profile. For $4.99 a 22 ounce this is an excellent value!

22 oz. bottle, purchased locally at Whole Foods ($4.89). Bottle dated November 17th, a month old.
A: Poured into tulip glass. Clear amber, with 1" of just-off-white head that settles fairly quickly, leaving a thin, consistent, sticky lacing.
S: Bright grapefruit & pineapple; grassy, with some floral. Fairly simple.
T: Pine resin, then citrus and pineapple; malt in the middle; growing bitterness that lingers; well-masked alcohol.
M: Medium carbonation and medium body. Some heat. Resiny, dry finish.
O: A big, well balanced DIPA that presents its hops full force, offset with a fruity, sweeter side. Very drinkable and a good value.
