Translucent amber orange with an off white head. Not too much lacing for what I'd expect from a hop bomb like this.
Smells very pungent. Strong citrus and pine hop aromas. Very enticing.
Very bitter, yet some slight sweetness to it. Lots of citrus, particularly grapefruit. Tons of hops. Medium body and carbonation. Goes down fairly smoothly.

Best DIPA out there for the price? Just might be.

A - Super clear, very light amber. Nice two finger head that leaves a very nice amount of lacing on the glass.

S - Bitter hops, some booze, grapefruit, pineapple. Smells very, very bitter.

T - Very bitter hops right up front where they need to be. Nice citrus after taste coming in. Grapefruits and pine lingering in the back. Not picking up a lot of malts, but as the name suggests this beer is all about the hops.

M - Full bodied with a nice amount of carbonation. A little bit of booze warms you up as it goes down.

O - Very nice Imperial IPA that delivers exactly what it's promoting. Hops and more hops. Great showing from Lagunitas!

We were nearly knocked off the bar-stool by the hops-to-the-face from Hop Stoopid! The beer pours a clear amber color, with just a slight hint of orange around the edges. A big cap of white head clung to the glass -
amazing retention. Hop aromas including pine resin, pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, and mango get the salivary glands working. These big hop flavors follow through on the pallet, with a sweet malt character providing just enough balance to make this brew something special. Medium in body and carbonation, Hop Stoopid is a brew for all you hop-heads out there, and even for a few that aren't!

Appearance: Translucent golden orange with a two finger frothy white head.

Aroma: Very sweet orange. Citrusy hop profile.

Taste: I'm not a fan of orange hop flavor and sweet hop character. That being said, Hop Stoopid runs with those hop flavors and does a decent job. Instead of being sweet and sticky, it is sweet and juicy. There is definitely a fair amount of malt in this brew as well, but it's more of a plain slate of flavor for the hops to shine on top of. I'm not sure the 102 IBUs on the label is accurate. It really doesn't feel like more than 70 or 80 IBUs (being a hop head and always looking for the most bitter for my buck, this is a bit of a let down). Overall though, the taste is pleasant and the juicy aspect makes it especially favorable.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied. Slightly low carbonation but that's not a bad thing in this case. The juiciness of this DIPA makes it highly drinkable.

Final Thoughts: When I first smelled this one, I had my doubts. However, with each sip I appreciate it more and more. For $3.99 a bomber it's well worth the price. Would I drink it again? Yes, after I've tried all the other DIPAs I've got my eyes on.

A: golden with a tinge of brown, 1 and a half fingers of white head residing down to a few millimetres of foam covering the surface. slight haze with a medium carbonation present. really nice looking beer.

S: wow..! i cracked this one open and by no means was it close to my nose and i smelt the hop character! incredible! citrus notes with a twist of melon present. orange peal and a tiny pine character comes across as well! grapefruit and some spice presenting. i really cannot wait to try!

T: seemingly i cant fault this beer. huge notes of fruit varieties. pineapple, orange zest, and that melon flavour jumping in as well. quite dry and a overly heavy beer. 102 ibu isnt overly noticeable but in saying that the bitter characteristic is still there. close enough to being a hop bomb which i just love. the malt backing calming it down though. on the back of the tongue its a bit pine like and the citrus character follows through beautifully the whole beer. for 8% abv the alcohol is hardly noticeable.

M: not too heavy, perfectly carbonated! the only flaw being the sticky sensation but its hardly a flaw.

O: i love this beer! phenomenal! could drink a few bottles of this easily and i plan to in the near future! one i recommend to anyone as long as its fresh! just fantastic!
