22oz bomber into New Belgium chalice, no BB.

Appearance is a crystal clear orange/amber with a nice large white head. Some nice lacing from the head. Smells of citrus hops, dominant grapefruit but also some orange/tangerine going on. A huge amount of pineapple in the nose. Taste is very hoppy with some earthy resiny notes prominent, little malt presence. Again in the taste we get the citrusy notes but also some pine. Nice strong and clean bitterness. Sweet and citrusy smelling. Mouthfeel is extremely light and refreshing for the style, the most drinkable DIPA I have encountered. MF also has some intense mouth-coating hoppyness.

Interesting beer as it has the powerful nose you'd expect from a DIPA and a good punch of hops but none of the syrupy heavyweight feel; light and bitter. In a way a would prefer a stronger malt base, but the very lightness of it is what makes it stand out. Very very drinkable DIPA that smells absolutely incredible.

Pours a nice amber color with a one fingered off-white head. Some decent lacing.

Smell is heavily citrus. Lots of pungent hoppy grapefruit notes.

Taste follows smell well. Lots of hoppy citrus. Sweet malt and caramel come through later. Nice dry bitterness.

Mouthfeel is pleasantly carbonated. Very good.

A - Pours a clean amber. Decent White head

S - piney with citrus hints. Can really smell them hops

T - given that it's 102 ibu the taste is quite balanced. Really enjoyable

M - Well balanced and pleasant to drink. No bitter beer face as I imagined prior to having it.

O - Very well done IIPA

A - Pours a clean amber. Thick white head gives way to moderate lacing.

S - Powerful. Floral, pine, citrus. The full hops spectrum is present.

T - For a hops beast of a beer this is not a simple-minded DIPA. Flavor is not sacrificed for stark bitterness.

M - Medium.

O - Wow. Now this is a true Cali DIPA.

Poured from a 22 oz. bomber into a DFH snifter:

A-Hazy, orange honey with an off white head that is quickly gone and leaves a bit of lace

S-Citrus, resin, pine, grapefruit and hops glorious hops

T-Good, follows the nose, pretty bitter (as one would expect with 102 ibu), but not in an unpleasant way

M-Well balanced, not too slick and nothing unpleasant

O-Hate to be boring here, but it's 4/5 across the board, I was hoping for more but it's no Ruination...

Poured from a 375 ml bottle into a Dogfish head pint glass.

A: A golden haze orangewith a thin laced white foam head that only coats the lips of the glass.
S: this is one grapefruit fresh hop bomb. Lemon drop, candied orange lollipops.
T: This is one sour pucker bastard! This is straight up stooped. Delicious DIPA, one of my favorite DIPA hop monsters. I have a sickness with hoppy hop beers.
M: nice racy medium carbonation that lingers on the tongue. This is one sticky pesky grapefruit leech that loves to stay on the sides of the glass. I like how this one flows. It is a perfect middle weight beer.
O: This is one of my number 3 DIPA behind the Firestone Walker Double Jack and the Devil Dancer. This is a yum yum IPA only for the hop monsters.

Pours a nice light amber color Thin white head, a bit hazy but down right good looking brew.

Smell of lemon, citrus, honey sweetness from the malt, a nice massive hop bomb very pleasant.

Taste of hops a nice bitterness clinging to the palate, hiding the 8.5% alc very nicely. Piney, a rich character from the malt nice and sweet, with a dry hoppiness lingering on the tongue.

Overall still one of my favorite double IPAs.

Poured into tulip, clear carrot body with bubbly white head. Lots of herb & spice hops in the aroma, not so strong though. Very full and balanced flavor, some strong grapefruit and spice rounded out by a malty sugariness, hint of vanilla. Bit of a bitter aftertaste, insane balance. Good crispy, creamy body, lots of carb that doesn't disturb the flavor. A burst of flavor on the palate overall. Some alcohol warming. This is solid, pretty light feel for a double. Great taste
