Pours a clear, burnished copper color with a big, eventually rocky, tan head. Great retention, very good lacing.
Smell is malt with some roast, light hops, a green grape sweetness, and a hint of biscuit. Well balanced but not as complex as hoped for.
Taste is more developed with floral hops more pronounced, roasted malt, a touch of lightfruit probably pear, caramel (faint), and a noticeable alcohol bloom. Nicely done.
Medium body barely, middle of the road effervescence. Slightly drying but very warming for the style. Feels like an Imperial stout in that regard. A well done brew "hat isn't a hop bomb thankfully.

As the label proclaims this has a rich copper hue and a stiff thick head of off white foam. There's a large number of carbonation bubbles that course through the body that weakens the appearance.

The nose is a malt bomb. Molasses, maple, tea leaves, even prune, date and raisin all come to the surface.

The flavor reminds me of figs, with sorghum and caramel malt. I get a bit of molasses and maple with a back of pecans.

The feel is quite thick, very smooth with a bitter after taste.

Very unorthodox in its approach this copper ale is nicely diverse and quite flavorful.
