Poured from a bottle to create a generous head with thick webs of lacing when the glass was tipped. The brew was a cloudy amber color with some bubbles visible.
The nose was sweet and malty with notes of caramel and honey. A little mild and difficult to discern but this improved as the beer warmed.
The taste was similar to the smell, with big caramel flavors and significant but not overwhelming sweetness. The substantial alcohol is hardly noticeable in the taste. Tasty and balanced.
The mouthfeel is balanced as well, and while the beer doesn't feel heavy as it is being sipped, I found the beer quite filling by the end of the bottle.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable amber ale that is balanced and would seem to make a good go-to beer for all sorts of occasions.

Pours a transparent copper color with a substantial head of sudsy, khaki foam. Aroma is pleasantly light and fruity, consisting of lemon grass, banana, clove, and grassy hops.
The taste features a light caramel malt up front along with a healthy kick of grassy hops that make way for an equally potent kick of peppery/herbal hops. A grain husk musk shores up the back end. The peppery hops are the clear focal point here, as they practically sizzle on the back of the tongue whilst the other flavors recede. It's an interesting sensation, albeit a little heavy-handed. The mouthfeel is a little thin, perhaps passably semi-creamy, propped up by some perky carbonation.
Overall, this is an interesting and flavorful brew. The closest analogue I can muster is Domaine Dupage, although the flavors here are more coarse and strident. It's not something I would seek out to enjoy, but it's worth trying.
