Pours from bottle to pint glass with a nice copper/ reddish color and a head of about two inches.
Odor is a little weak. I get fruity or citrus.
Taste is very good. At first I get malt and then maybe some breadyness. Finishes with a nice light hop flavor.
Mouth feel is smooth and is very nice.

Pours moderately clear copper, with a one-finger cream color head.

Fresh bread aroma, with some caramel. Also toasted malt. Light citrus, woody, resiny hop aromas. Whiff of esters. Slight alcohol warming fumes.

Very balanced brew. Assertive caramel malt flavor balanced by woody resiny hops with a moderate bitterness throughout. Dry finish.

Medium body, smooth, with lightly prickly carbonation.

Overall, not the citrus bomb I expected. Very well balanced. Feels almost like an ESB, with slight estery character.

I tend to overlook this one in favor of some of their other offerings. Didn’t mean to neglect it but I’ve done my part to remedy that error.
This pours a rich copper color. It’s intense, just looking at it. In a certain light there’s a red hue glowing through the glass.

The aroma is what you’d expect from Lagunitas—hoppy, but balanced with this terrific maltiness. I get some earthy, savory notes. Definitely not the hop bombs I’m used to from these guys but there is definitely an underlying grassy/onion and garlic shoot hop aroma that’s much more pronounced as a spiciness when tasted.
Caramelly malt flavor lasts through the tasting experience and finishes on a sweet yet light note. Honestly, I enjoyed this on its own merits because it’s an excellent beer all around.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a mug. Reviewed live.

A- Half a finger white head. Rather thin and low retention. Very watery lacing. Light coppery color with nice clarity. Light carbonation.

S- Sweet, but in a darker way. Caramel and toffee with some medium bodied malts. Light floral hops are bouncing around as well.

T- Very hoppy, with a sweet finish. I detect some bold, spicy hops and a little bit of that caramel in the nose.

M- Heavy carbonation on the tongue with a little bite. Fairly dry finish.

O- Kind of a weird beer. Seems to jump from style to style.

A: 2 fingers of off white fluffy head. Color is a rich copper color or maybe amber. Clarity is great and I see lots of carbonation flowing. Decent retention.

S: Bouquet has some floral hop notes especially right after opening the cap. Lightly citrus. But really it's the malts show as I get a lot of caramel malts and some distinct breadiness.

T: Wow, actually really lots of citrus in this beer. It's a really tasty mix with the caramel and the bready malts. Finish is lightly bitter. But throughout it is on the sweeter side.

M: Surprisingly light and airy. Nice medium carbonation.

O: Surprisingly drinkable, albeit a little on the sweet side. Reds are a big favorite of mine and this is pretty good. Not enough to be "one of my favorites" but definitely better than average.

Pours a clear amber/copper color with a 1/2 inch foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots and streaks of lace form on the glass on the drink down. Smell is very malty with bread and caramel aromas. Taste is also very malty with caramel and some herbal hops on the finish. A medium bitterness lingers on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is very malty but still has a nice hop presence to balance things out.

Orange-red brew with a generous creamy head. The head is dissipating slowly. I smell malt, spicy and floral hops, and some bread-like yeast. So far, very nice. Bread and malt is definitely in the taste, along with a prevalent hop bitterness and spiciness. While the bitterness is quite forward, its not elbowing out the other qualities in the taste. This beer also has a nice medium mouth feel.

Overall this is a nice balanced beer with a lot of good things going on. This one can easily become a regular with me.

Copper color, as promised. Strong malty aromas. Medium head, some lacing.

First taste surprised me with a good bit of hops. Sweet at entry, then malty, then a little bitterness to finish. Has some of the bitterness that I associate with an English Pale Ale.

Well-balanced beer, but a touch too sweet for me.

Overall: B+

The appearance is a nice clear amber color, not cloudy or dark at all.

The smell is pleasant. It has a balanced combination of malt, sugar, and barley. Literally, every scent is present.

The taste is, of course, directly related to the smell. The malt is in the forefront of the flavor but is quickly balanced by a a sweet aroma that is like brown sugar and and caramel at the same time.

The mouthfeel is nice. I am drinking these in February but wouldn't be unhappy drinking them in July. This beer is smooth, I think because of the sweetness. At 6.75% the beer isn't light but also isn't too heavy, which is why it would still be drinkable in the hotter seasons.

Overall the beer has a great balance of flavor, sweetness, density, and alcohol content. It seems like the kind of brew that you could drink all night. Good beer!
