Picked up a single from Total Wine back at the end of September for $1.79. Bottled on 7-29-13.

Beer poured golden orange with a very nice white head that is hanging around.

Nose is citrusy and tropical.

Taste is very much hop forward, tropical and citrus hops dominate. Resiny finish.

Mouthfeel is mildly carbonated and medium bodied.

Overall a very tasty brew that is just a bit beyond sessionable. Definitely is an IPA and not a pale ale. Definitely try it if you have the opportunity!

This review is long overdue...

Beautifully crystal clear beer. Super clingy lace and clumpy foam head. Aroma is brisk, flowery, fruity, slightly spicy, clean, and crisp. Orange is big, soapy floral, lilac possibly, doughy malt, crisp grains, light caramel, perhaps butterscotch, all very well arranged. Taste is softy sweet, fruity, piney, brightly bitter, and generally delectable. Flavors include lemon, orange, general hoppy resin, fresh crackery grains, and flowers. Just plain well done. Mouthfeel is slick, smooth, and perfectly carbonated.

This is one of my favorite pale ales.

From fresh growler from a fresh tapped keg (I watched him tap it).
Maybe its just me but I like my beer bold and cold to start! Its going to warm up (most likely).
A: This is perfect. Side pour into a tulip. Lots of aggressive head eggshell white in color. Giant. A bit went over the side of the glass as it exanded. Dissapates into a cloud-like pillow in the glass. Cool! Lacing is very nice and sticky. Clear. Beautiful gold in color! I really like this and expectations are rather high. I am watching the head and its incredible. Giant bubbles. Foam. Everything in between. Perfect.
S: This beer has body. I like that, even in a Pale Ale. When I nose it, it has a stronger scent than any other pale ale I remember. Thumbs up. When I smell it I think its quite hoppy and bready.
T: Nice. Light and crisp. Hop on. Pine citrus etc as it warms. Malt balances it out and lets it respite as a serious beer.
M: This is the only area I am sketchy about. Its bites. I was hoping for a little creamy.
O: This is the best pale ale I have had so far. I love bold beer. This fits the bill.

Pours clear yellow/orange with a fluffy 2 inches of head.

Grassy citrus aromas, estery pear, tropical fruits, mineral.

More tropical fruitiness in taste, mild esters, fresh grassy flavors, nice balance with a hint of sweetness.

Just light enough to have a few but sturdy enough to stand up to the flavors.

Nice pale ale. Great session brew.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a touch hazy medium gold with a decent sized white head that dissipates to light foamy nebulous and marginal lace. Aroma is bready crackery malt with lots of grapefruit to counter and a hint of mineral water. The flavor is pretty straight forward. Light hints of sugary sweetness and oyster crackers with plenty of citrusy grapefruit and a hint of pine to skew this one towards that hoppy side of the road. Firm hop bitterness keeps the palette awake. Medium to light body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Very nice pale ale, nothing horribly complex but with an old school feel and drinkability I could get into a few of these.
