12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a transparent golden with a slight haze; huge fluffy white head that sticks around and leaves sticky lacing and great retention. The aromas are full of subtle sticky mango. There's some pineapple and grapefruit in the mix. There's a touch of caramel malts going on as well. The flavors match the nose perfectly. Lots of citrus and a touch of pine. The bitterness is very subtle. Mouthfeel is great; moderate carbonation and his extremely smooth on the palate. This is very easy to drink.

So this wasn't just bottle yesterday, but it's within the 3 month period. I've had this before in the past, but it's been awhile. It's a very solid pale ale which almost borderlines an IPA, but not quite. It's extremely refreshing. Worth checking out. It falls into what anyone would expect from Lagunitas.

This brew pours a semi-clear copper color with a two finger head which lasts a long time, good carbonation and thick lacing which lasts until the end.

The smell is citrus and floral hops, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, and caramel malts.

The taste follows the nose, grapefruit, pineapple, citrus and floral hops dominate. There is a think caramel malt backbone and the taste finishes with oily pine hops.

The feel is thick, bready and chewy. You could really almost chew this. There is are also oily hops left on the tongue after swallowing.

Overall this is one of the few American Pale Ale's I like, make that love. Another winner from Lagunitas, which is quickly becoming my favorite brewery. They do hops right. Although this brew is not listed as "sessionable" I believe it is the most sessionable A.P.A. I have had.

A - Pours an off white head with a light copper color body. Excellent bubbles even ten minutes after poured.

S - Great hop aroma. Super balanced nose that allows you to anticipate the taste of the ale.

T - Near perfect pale ale taste. Just the right amount of hop flavor with a slight bitterness that lingers on palate. I get almost a little apple mid sip.

M - Impecable mouthfeel. Awesome carbonation through the entire glass and session. Really velvety on the swallow.

O - This is an amazing beer for the summer or really anytime. Super session beer that also carries a pretty high ABV. This is a great "burger" beer that would be awesome to bring to any BBQ or to have on draft with some wings and fries.
