A: Poured out a clear amber color. Two fingers of off white head with retention that doesn't quit. Left a ring of lacing around the top of my glass.

S: Piney and floral with just a hint of orange citrus. There is a malty backbone that is present but somewhat subdued.

T: Mostly floral with a subtle sweet orange flavor. Hop bite is a bit surpising.

M: Crisp and smooth. Light to medium body that is actually a bit creamy. Medium carb.

O: Very good pale ale. Unlike many of the other Lagunitas offering I've had, this one has more of a bitter hop presence versus the booming maltiness I'm used to from them. This one actually kicks more than some garbage IPAs. It is somewhat understated in the sense of intensity sort of like Dale's Pale Ale and could pretty much be considered an IPA.

Pours a crystal clear bright gold. Decent head retention/lace. Looks good! Smells like loads of every type of citrus you can imagine. Big fruit nose. Taste is definitely big citrus hops...grapefruit/lemon being the primary. If u dont like hitter hops, this is not your beer. Carbonation level is fairly high, but it works with the flavors. Overall, I'm impressed. Lagunitas brews some high quality pale ales! If u like hops, this is a good one.

I picked this up at the Jewel/Osco store in Glendale Heights, IL as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99, making this single 12oz brown bottle $1.67. No freshness date.

The beer poured a clear golden/amber color and made a fluffy white 1½-finger white head. The head lasted about a minute before fading to a thin white cap, and it left some decent lacing.

Big grapefruit hop aroma.

Heavy grapefruit and orange peel bitterness hits right away. There is a bready maltiness underneath that gets stronger as it warms and helps with balance and adds some sweetness. The bitterness returns in the finish and it lingers a bit in the aftertaste.

Light to medium bodied with higher than average carbonation.

Not a big fan of this one, but if you're a big hophead, you might like it more than I did.
