Poured from bottle into SA Perfect Pint glass, no bottle date or code that I could find.

Pours an medium amber color, couldn't stop thinking of rust either when it came to the color. One finger creamy head that disappeared rather quickly. Lacing left at the top and the bottom of the glass.

I smell citrus and hops. The citrus is along the lines of grapefruit. The aromas are not the strongest atribute of this beer as I really had to work to pick up the aromas. Even as the beer warmed it was difficult to smell.

Taste is where this beer shines. Starts up front with the right amount of malty sweetness which is followed up by the grapefruity citrus and finally a strong hop finish. Very tasty indeed.

This is a medium bodied beer and has big alcohol content at 9.87%. The alcohol however barely makes itself known during the course of this glass.

One fine ale. I paired this with a mildly spicey chicken enchilada and it was near perfect. This beer looks and tastes great, one I will certainly be looking out for next spring.

Found this recent & was drawn to ABV initially . However, this is an outstanding beer. As others have noted a bit similar to DFH90 but a bit on the mellower side. Definitely a rich beer with the alcohol hidden. Be careful with one than one as it will sneak up on you.

Picked this up as part of a mixed 6, well, hate to admit it but it was because of the name. Very interesting. Good looking beer with an awesome smell that has a good bit going on. Very interesting beer, reminds me more of an IPA than anything, wasn't what I was expecting. Enjoyed it plus it gets a lot of bonus point due to the high ABV. Would get again depending upon cost.

I initially just rated this beer without bothering to create a review; however, after purchasing a 6'er I felt the need to review after thoroughly enjoying my 3rd beer from the pack.

I simply wanted to say the combined balance of hops, melon, resin, caramel, burnt sugar, backing malt and faint booze quite possibly has created my new favorite go to 6 packer.

I use to always rely on Flower Power as a fallback if I didn't want to buy bombers or create my own from the local bottle shop.

At I believe $2.50 cheaper this has now usurped and falls into lead position. It's been said before on many a thread but I'm now a true believer that Lagunitas provides top 3 bang for buck.
