22oz twist-off?? Whatever man. It pours a crystal clear golden orange with some light continuous carbonation rejuvenating the scummy skin on the surface.
Smell to make the hop-heads sigh Ahhh! Fresh and hoppy. Mostly pine with some citrus but not without a malt character of buttery toffee right behind it.
Wow. The taste is better than the smell. This has flavors in stages as you chew on this aftertaste. I get fresh orange flesh first, then some caramel and pine resin, then a more grassy green flavor then a non-citrus acidic taste to clear it all out. This is a pale ale party in the mouth. There is very little room for improvement here, if at all.
Im the mouth it's a good balance of body and gentle carbonation that gets a little sharp in the throat. This is absolutely to be expected though considering the statement on the label "This is not a double IPA". Amen.
At 6.33% this is not exactly a session beer but on a good day it sure could be.
I would like to have more. Soon.
