Deep amber, clear as a bell. decent pearly head sits aloft.
Juicy hops, with loads of citrus, leafy grapefruit pith, and some light unripe fruit flavors round out the aroma.
The malt shows up in the taste, but only after a wave of bitterness sweeps through the place (the place being my mouth). Getting a slightly harsh alkaline flavor, almost soapy, but not strong enough to make it undrinkable or affect it negatively. It seems to be the sort of thing that a recipe tweak could fix. A slight metalic/coin flavor in there too, but I get that in a lot of their (and in bear republics too). Again, not a perfect IPA, but it's a good solid step up from their regular IPA.
Drinkability and mouthfeel are spot-on. It's just a real good drinker in every respect.
If you can find this one, give it a try.
