Bomber poured into my Duvel tulip, 2009 Correction Ale is a clear, brassy gold with a big, fluffy white head, dense, leaving nice lace.
Smell is strong, fresh, resinous hops. Wood and pine sap. some caramel and very light nuttiness coming out as it warms.
Taste also all about the hop resins, nice and strong, not much malt to get in the way, nor overly bitter, just pungent. Could use more depth in the hop flavor, not intensity mind you, just variety. Light breadiness to the malt.
Mouthfeel is well carbonated, creamy but on the crisp, champagne side. Perhaps a bit thin, but I prefer my IPAs not so heavy, and think it works well for a summer hop bomb.
Drinkability is pretty high, another awesome IPA from Lagufuckinitas. The smell and light body off-set the lack of complexity, I could drink these from a fresh keg at a house part until I couldn't walk...The decent price (at least for a bomber) certainly helps, and as always, great humor on the label.
