Twelve ounce bottle, no date, poured into SA perfect pint.
Three finger frothy white head over crystal clear golden body. The head fell to large rafts of foam, lacing very nicely from start to finish.
Aroma was mildly resinous and very slightly pine-like with nice grapefruit character, very fresh, very appealing. A slight hint of malty/wheaty sweetness on the nose. Excellent balance.
Taste is very clean, well built layers. A little bitter hit, then sweetness follows with grapefruit floating and bringing it all together. Not complex, smoothly blended flavors in harmony. The wheat doesn't dominate, maybe barely detectable, yet there is a nice sweetness that balances the bitterness. Actually seems quite lager like to me.
Feel was very bright, light to medium body, lively on the carbonation. A but of astringent finish that said take another sip. A bit of bitterness lingers.
Overall, where has this been all my life? Nice, refreshing, easy drinking beer regardless of the style. Light and bright, refreshing, tasty goodness.

After I drank the first few sips of this is tasted really Hoppy but in a good way. Fairly Floral. Good thick taste. Hard to describe but even though it is not the same type of beer it really tasted like a beer that I had last week in California. Pliney the Elder! The taste was about 80% similar. So if you want something that tastes similar but live in Texas like I do go buy some Little Sumpin to satisfy your Pliney the Elder needs.
