Poured into a weizen glass. An auburn color with a soapy white heading that left ringlets all the way down the glass.
Smell is very floral with a nice light crisp fruity nose and sweet malts. If I didn't know any better I'd say this was a pale ale.
Taste is well overwhelming for me. Dare I say seems to be overhopped for the style? A nice earthy, wheaty grain bill but is completely overthrown by the insane bitterness and floral taste.
Mouth is very crisp, Light bodied brew with great retention. A bit of a heavy linger of
Maybe it's me. I would like to taste the wheat grains in a wheat beer. If I would like a Pale Ale I will get one. Just a bit to hop heavy for my tastebuds.
Repost almost 3 years later now. My oh my how the palate changes or maybe the recipe ??? I don't know how I could have disliked this beer. It is now my fallback summer beer. Very tasty and Overhopped for the style ??? Whatever the hell that means. LOL. Anyway Love this stuff.

Poured bottle into glass. 7.5 % abv
Appearance- Pours a translucent golden yellow with a lively two finger head that hangs around.
Smell- Ripe orange along with grapefruit citrus hints. Sweet bready malt as well.
Taste- A fresh toasted biscuit malt flavor arrives and quickly develops into a strong wheat character. This wheat flavor blends along nicely with the citric hop bitterness as the two tastes co-mingle with each other. This wheat/hop taste pairing of this beer is interesting and different to me. Very easy drinking.
Mouthfeel- Surprisingly light and thin for the vibrant taste and 7.5 percent abv. Well done.
Overall- A very interesting and delicious beer that is both wheaty and hoppy. A top among the APWA style for sure. As my first Lagunitas beer I was impressed. A must try for those seeking a tasty and potent warm weather brew.
