12 oz bottle. Done as a semi-blind tasting, so I didn't know the beer style (and would have guessed APA) until entering this review.
Pours a clear golden-amber with a large near-white head. Exceptional lacing is left on the glass.
With no examination of the bottle other than a glimpse at the front label, I thought this was an APA or IPA. A bit unusual in color and aroma, but otherwise, I think this is a decent description of the sensory properties.
The aroma is dominated by piney hops, with a hint of toasted grain and a slight skunkiness (from the wheat?). The mouthfeel is slightly harsh; in retrospect, I guess this is due in part to the higher ABV. It has a medium-light body.
Taste is the strong point. The flavor is plentiful, albeit mostly from hops and without being particularly complex. Hop character is largely of the pine/resin variety but with a bit of faint citrus. Moderately strong bitterness.
O: A clean, very hoppy wheat ale suitable for hop heads. I didn't think this was a great APA or IPA -- not up with better Lagunitas offerings for one thing -- but as an Amer. Pale Wheat, it is exceptional.

This one pours a pure golden color with a with the faintest hint of cloudiness. There is a thick fast rising white head that settles slowly with a thin pillowy remnant and a good quality lacing down the glass.
The nose is sharp pine and grass riding on malted breadiness and subtle notes of fruit, floral hops and some pepper.
The taste is a nice dry bitter hopping that has a sweet rush and sharp bitter finish. The malt is surging sweet and dry. Nice a simple notes with complex surges.
The moutfeel is rich and just right.
Overall an exceptional beer that is excellent to drink.

A highly ranked brew that has a very attractive pin-up girl on the bottle so I had no choice but to see what all the hub-bub was about.
A - Nice light orange color. Clear with fine bright white head and significant lacing. Exceedingly clear for a 50% wheat beer.
S - Delicious hop aroma with an orange hint and slight bready wheat character. Mostly "C" hops shine through as the label would suggest. Definitely dry-hopped perfection for a pale ale.
T - Great showcase for the hops with orange, lemon, herbal, and some floral tones. The beer has a subtle wheat flavor in the middle with a perfect middle finish and very light bitterness. I was expecting there to be more bitterness because of the hop flavor but the beer matches the style well. Very similar to 3F's Gumballhead in body and middle flavor but with more of a orange character instead of a lemon character.
M - Light-middle mouth-feel. The carbonation was peppy enough to give the beer a nice pop on the tongue without being too acidic or burning. With a crisp and cleaner hop finish especially for a wheat beer.
Overall, one of the best American wheat pale ales that I've ever had. Tremendous hoppy aroma, delicious flavor, great feel, appearance, and really takes a mostly plain and yeast dominated style and pumps it up with the hops. The refreshing taste and cleanliness of the beer make it one of the best session beers ever. It's like taking a great pale ale and adding that wheat character but not trying to tone all the flavor down. I would strongly recommend trying this for everyone out there from the elite beer connoisseur to the person that just wants a beer. If you see this one grab it!
