Enjoyed on 8/6/11.

A: Amber color w/ a very white frothy head that dissipates quickly.

S: Lots of hoppy citrus smells. Grapefruit, some light grain in the background.

T: Very light taste. Mostly hops, maybe faintly taste some wheat but the hops overpower it by a lot.

M: Very light feel w/ high carb feel. A little bit of alcohol burn on the mouth at the end.

O: If you want a hoppy pale ale w/ some wheat flavor, this one might be for you. It had too much hops and not enough wheat for its style in my opinion. That being said, an enjoyable beer.

A: Light amber color. Not as dark as I expected. Lots of head (3-4 fingers on an aggressive pour). Head is slow to recede away.

S: Fruity and flowery like I'd expect from an IPA. Not too pungent or overpowering. Promises to be flavorful - yet not too much.

T: I am not a fan of bitter. This is right on the edge of too bitter for me. Not a stop, drop and roll - but not a power it down either. Bitter early, nice in the mid palate, then there is an astringent feel late.

M: Dry feeling throughout.

O: Probably not a repeat. The bitter is too far forward for my tastes.

Served out of 12oz. bottle and poured into an American pint glass. The 6-pack was purchased at Jewel-Osco. I couldn't find any sort of date stamp on the bottle.

A - a nice orange body with a frothy and somewhat thick white head. Lacing along the entire glass for the duration of drinking the beer.

S - Smells like a hoppy IPA which is what I thought the style of this beer was before looking it up on here. There is deffinately the citrus orange/grapefruit scent to this beer that is typical of an IPA which brought around my confusion.

T - Grapefruit and pine tasting with a hint of wheat. The after taste really brings out the wheat and makes you want to go ahead and drink some more.

M - Bitter and crisp feeling on the mouth with a decent amount of carbonation. Leaves your mouth with a nice dry finish.

O - This is a delicious beer and my favorites from Lagunitas which is hard for me to say because I love almost everything that they make. One of my most favorite beers overall and clear go to when nothing else sounds good.
