Dense, rocky, egg shell foam. Pale, crystal-clear gold color. Clings to the glass in thick sheets.

A dry grapefruit nose comes through. Fairly pungent but with an underpinning of sweetness like a freshly peeled orange. A wonderful floral perfume note. Generally clean, bright citrus aromas. Halfway though—as the beer warms—picking up a slightly resinous, dank, somewhat earthy, herbal note like the smell of fresh hops.

The bitterness is very brief, giving way to mostly bright grapefruit and almost blood-orangey flavors. Surprisingly strong malt backbone leaves biscuity notes and a tantalizingly subtle caramel note at the end which sort of makes me want more citrus. Keeps me coming back. Picking up traces of bread every so slightly mingling with hints of yeast. Bitterness finishes fairly quickly. Dry, refreshing and lingering mostly with a faint orange peel flavor and a little bit of malt sweetness.

Mouthfeel is mostly sticky, leaving a resin and citrus peel note lingering. Fairly well-carbonated and spritzy character but soft around the edges. Has nice medium body and fairly well-attenuated. Mild alcoholic warmth.

I could drink a lot of these. Lots of flavor going on and it's all exceptionally balanced. And given the relative intensity of this beers it's remarkably drinkable.

A: Golden with a white head.

S: Mango, pineapple and pine in the nose.

T: Very drinkable, nice blend of wheat, malt, mango, pineapple and general tropical fruit flavors.

M: Light bodied, fairly smooth.

O: Definitely worth a try. Fruit is definitely one of the things I look for in wheat pale ales, and this delivers. My favorite Lagunitas beer.

A: Vigorous pour. Three fingers of eggshell-white head. Carbonation is high and true to style. Bubble size is from foam to 1/8th inch and is very consistent in the range of 1/16th inch. Head retention is excellent. Lacing is stocky and covering 90% of the glass as the head recedes. Color is Deep Gold (6 SRM) and beer is very slightly hazy. The lacing is extraordinary.

S: Citrus, grapefruit, lemon, a bit of pine, wheat malt, some more hops. As it warms the nose gets a bit stronger but not much.

T: Lemon, grapefruit, pale wheat malt, sugar, hops. Crisp and refreshing with a slightly sweet finish. Goes bitter and disappears. No hint of alcohol in taste. Aftertaste is both sweet and sour and somewhat astringent.

M: Light-Medium bodied. Starts smooth and creamy. Goes to tingly which crecendos and fades to a slight warmth and a crisp dry finish. The slight sour of the citrus in the aftertaste makes my mouth water for more. :)

O: An extremely well-constructed beer. Very drinkable. And excellent introduction beer to craft beer curious. Appearance is beautiful. Nose is very light when cold so nose it but do not expect much until it warms. The nose does not grow as big as the taste as it warms. Mouthfeel is awesome. This beer is great.
