Appearance- light gold with a thin creamy white head.
Smell- Very strong hop presence in the smell. Hops dominate. Very piney with some grapefruit and citrus.
Taste- pine, grapefruit, citrus. HOP BOMB.. But in a good way. Maybe it's because it's on the label but I do feel like there is a faint grainy wheat like flavor. The wheat grains balance the hops beautifully. This is a hop heads dream.
Mouthfeel- medium carbonation. Hops jump off the roof of the mouth and tounge. Very pleasant
Overall- this beer is a winner. This and gumballhead are definitely my favorite wheat beers. Would need to do a side by side to decide the victor. Cheers!

Poured from the bottle, this beer is golden in color with a clear body. The nose on this beer is quite pronounced, featuring scents of citrus, mainly orange/tangerine, with tropical and floral notes. The white foam features somewhat larger bubbles and it does leave some lacing.
This beer has a delicious flavor that combines tropical fruit, oranges, pineapple, a little bit of honey, and wheat. The beer has a refreshing crispness and the bitterness, while supposedly 60 IBU, doesn’t seem that high and is actually well balanced for this style.
Lagunitas has scored a major hit with this beer. The nose and flavor are addictive and the beer just keeps getting better and better with each passing sip. I love the combination of tropical fruit flavors- they combine to create a flavor that most any person will find acceptable at the very least, including those who are not normally IPA fans. It’s a very tasty beer that earns a big thumbs up from me.
