A-Pours a nice golden-brown with a brighter yellow hue. Head pours thick and vibrant white and retains fairly well. Leaves a bunch of lacing. Bubbles rise to the top in effervescence.

S-Piney hops, salty, grapefruit, faint notes of sweet malt on the back. Aggressive as hell up front, but I like it.

T-Grapefruit, earthy hops, pine and abrasive floral notes precede a wheaty, sweet aftertaste that leaves the palate with a slight char taste to go along with the aggressive hops. Very nice.

MF-Wet, oily, smooth and medium bodied with a light finish.

O-Well done. I wasn't expecting so many hops but I enjoyed it. It's more of an IPA than an APA, but, whatever. It's delicious.

Had this on tap at High Dive in Park Slope.

A - Pours a lively gold with tons if bubbles rising in the glass. Average head that seemed to last.

S - Overall citrus (probably grapefruit) and a bit of grass perhaps. A very light aroma.

T - Amazing. Ripe fruits up front that give way to a roasted malt flavor. The wheat flavor is subtle.

M - 7.5% ABV is hidden quite nicely as I put away a few too many of these without realizing it.

I got this single 12oz bottle as part of a build-yur-own six pack for $9.99 at the Jewel-Osco store in Glendale Heights, IL. Could not find any kind of freshness date on it.

The beer poured a perectly clear golden/orange color, so it's obviously filtered. Big frothy white 4-finer head with good retention and lots of lacing.

Surprisingly stong hoppy smell along with a fruity character.

Huge wheat malt flavor along with an apricot taste. Plenty of mild piny hops for balance, yet it's really not that bitter at just 20 IBU's. I also get an additional kiss of honey-like sweetness.

Light to medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

A very unique tasting beer, and also a very good one.

Of all the Stellar breweries out there, this place is my favorite for creativity and consistent quality. Their hop profiles are much like other world class breweries such as Green Flash, Russian River, Firestone walker that I also love. I've not been able to clone this profile in a homebrew and can only wonder if it is hop extract that is the secret....

As for ALSS this beer is Lagunitas in a nutshell, playful name, unique flavor and a very solid beer. Like all their IPAs, it pours out very light in color with a light lacy head. The body is nice, not too heavy but obviously qualifies as a light DIPA. I just wish I could pickup a half barrel for my fridge!

I have not had a bad lay-guh-nee-tas yet

this was a little different then I expected after reading the reviews

has a malty-creamier base then I expected it too

my first go around with Belgian yeast

has a copper hue to it with huge head 2.5 finger center pour

a nice smooth drinker that I wouldn't turn down

the A.B.V is well hidden for 7.5 %

has great carbonation and tastes wonderful the hops are there but not over bearing
