A: Pours a subdued amber with a beautiful 2 finger white head. Excellent retention and lacing.
S: Smells like a traditional american ipa. fresh grapefruit and orange, tropical fruits, with herbal and piney bracing hops with just a hint of alcohol.
T: Tastes great, much like the smell. Fruity hop flavors give way to a tangy bitterness that leaves a distinct and indescribable hop flavor that begs for another sip. A subtle yet solid malt backbone gives way to a tangy and bitter finish, the juicy and hoppy aftertaste lasts long on the palette. Gets even better as it warms. Very unique taste and definitely has a little sumpin' sumpin' extra which makes it stand out amongst other hoppy beers.
M: Medium bodied with just the right zip of carbonation. With its gravity and 7.5% alcohol I can't have more than two at a time.
O: A fantastic, well-crafted ale which gives pliny a run for its money. Glad they didn't overdo the wheat portion, tastes more like a quality IPA to me. Highly recommended.

This beer sure is "Sumpin'"...
Appearance: Looking good, m'lady. Your standard "beer" color. Amber. Clear. Head doesn't last long, but there's some fine lacing.
Smell: The only other Lagunitas I've had is their IPA, and this smells a bit like it. It has that sweet tea aroma, but it also has some pissed off hops. Yes. Pissed off hops. Earthiness? Whatever it is, it's a bouquet.
Taste/feel: It's definitely a Lagunitas. It has that trademark taste. This beer just takes it to another level. This thing just about smashes your face into the pavement with the bitterness and hops at the front, but on the back, there's a pleasant maltiness to balance it all out nicely. I also can taste the alcohol on a few sips here and there.
Overall, it reminds me a good bit of Lagunitas IPA, but it just has more oomph. A Little Sumpin', Sumpin', if you will. Certainly not for those new to craft. This beer's heavy on the hops with just a dash of malt. A fantastic beer on all counts.

Pours a straw/gold color with a nice substantial white foam head. Good retention on the head, which sticks to the sides of the glass producing some nice lacing. Fairly clear brew.
All kinds of delicious hop aromas: citrus, tropical, herbal. Nice pungent aroma that really makes you want to dive in.
Taste is hop flavors similar to the nose up front. Resinous, oily hop goodness. Some herbal flavors as well -- mint or slight hint of basil, which a previous reviewer suggested. Citrusy hop flavors linger in the finish. Hops are balanced my a little malty sweetness and some dry biscuit flavor. Well done. 7.5% ABV was not noticeable at all.
Mouthfeel is slick and oily. Decent amount of carbonation.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable, thirst-quenching, wheat beer with some great hop flavors going on throughout the flavor profile. I will be revisiting this one come summer time.

Pours a pale golden / straw color w/ three fingers of dense head. Excellent retention and lacing.
The aroma is fantastic. Tropical, citric, and fresh herbal hops dominate the aroma w/ a slight malt sweetness towards the end.
The taste mirrors the aroma, with the herbal hops (basil, i kid you not) taking a bit more center stage. Flavors of sweet pineapple and grapefruit appear as well. The wheat malt comes in towards the end and offers some sweetness and balance. It tastes great, but the wheat is too subtle IMO
Medium bodied, very, very smooth and refreshing even. Deceivingly drinkable despite the 7.5 abv.
Overall: Although i was looking for a bit more wheat, this beer is pretty amazing. This is the best beer I've had in quite a while. Way to go Lagunitas.

Poured a bottle of this brew and found a lovely light, golden color with a nice 1/2 inch head. Lacing was above average against the glass.
Smell is amazing! Smells like a christmas tree fornicated with a grapefruit and a piece of caramel, then popped out a Little Sumpin' beer, wailing and crying and begging to be opened and drank.
Taste is even better than the smell. Solid wheat flavor, followed by the strong pine hoppiness, then the grapefruit citrus and finally the soft sweetness of the caramel or subtle molasses. Really nice!
Mouthfeel is carbonated but does not scratch your throat, which is sometimes difficult to achieve.
Overall this beer is absolute quality! It has flavor, appetizing smell, strength (7.5% ABV), and a dry enough after-taste to make you want to drink more...and more...and more...y mas para mi hermanos latinos! But it...now...seriously...why are you still here...go out and buy it.

Pours a pale golden body beneath the dense, rocky white head which slowly dissolves to leave a scattered, bubbly lacing.
Generous pine and citrus hops mesh with the fresh wheat for a pleasant aroma. As it warms it becomes a bit spicy as well.
The flavor has incredible pine and sweet citrus hop profiles. Grassy and straw notes are present as well with just a touch of spice and again a fair wheatiness.
Medium in carbonation and body although the sweetness and spice of the dense hops does make for a heartier finish.
Another winner for Lagunitas with a powerful hop punch to the palate yet still clean and refreshing.

A: Big three-fingered fluffy white head. Clear, golden body with sporadic traces of carbonation trickling to the surface. Superb head and lace retention.
S: Big, juicy pine hops. This is an "I love beer" kind of beer. It's big, bitter, fruity, hoppy and all sorts of fun. Somewhat sugary and candy-like. Not really picking up a lot of wheat. It's there, but I'm distracted by these wonderful hops. I wish I smelled like this beer.
T: Oh so wonderful. Oh yes. Yes, yes, yes. Much more wheat here, but citrusy hops are still the dominant force. Perhaps not quite as bitter as the nose suggests, but palate-cleansing enough. Juicy orange and grapefruit intermingle with the wheat in nuanced ways. Finish has traces of wheat and pleasant bitterness.
M: My central complaint is that it goes down way too easy. I'm more than halfway through the bottle already as I write this line.
O: One of my favorites, and certainly my favorite wheat beer (in that it tastes like an IPA).

Poured a crystal clear golden color with a foamy 2 finger head. Left a decent amount of lacing on the glass.
Big hop aroma. Pine and grapefruit with a bit of a sweet aroma.
Taste follows the nose with pine and pink grapefruit up front balanced well by a sturdy malt backbone. Finishes with a nice lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium and a little slick, goes down smooth. A little low on the carbonation, but it works well.
Overall this is another great beer from Lagunitas.
