Poured from bottle into pint glass and enjoyed with a fantastic Trader Jo's pizza topped with sauteed spinach, olives, onions, and garlic.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, orange-gold body sporting a full inch of off-white foam. Light lacing on the descent.

Smell: Smells of wheat, flowery orange, citrus, and a small hint of pine.

Taste:A very light mix of wheat and light grain. Small hints of citrus and pine. Exactly what it needs to be for a stronger pale wheat beer.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: Such a great beer for it's price, If I want a good beer for a good price I generally go to Lagunitas, or sometimes Abita.

I was surprised twice with this brew. First, I didn't notice anywhere on this bottle that it was a wheat beer, I hate wheat beer!! I bought it because Lagunitas makes some damn fine beer, but make a wheat beer taste good, I don't think so. Therein was the second surprise, it was a fine brew.

Clear enough to read through the glass. Single finger head, but it relaxes slowly. The color is neutral amber. Lots of classic pine needle hop aroma--like an IPA balanced with a fruitiness.

The flavor matches the aroma. Noteworthy alcohol feel and flavor. Good hop bite almost from the beginning. The body is rich and gives an element of rounded malt tastes. I don't really note any wheat in this one, it's a very good pale ale.

Appearance-It’s beautiful golden color with a substantial head and lacing present.
Smell- a very tropical beer it smells like summer.
Taste- the sweet fruit of a wheat ale until you are slapped in the head by the hops, not bad but awfully sweet.
Mouth feel- medium body with some carbonation.
Overall- It’s a little above average but a good warm weather beer which hides the alcohol.

Poured into a tumbler pint.

A: Clear, gloden orange. Fluffy two finger head, plenty of patchy lacing, head retained to a thin skim after about five minutes.

S: Lots of dank citrus and tropical fruits. Sweet apricots, mangos, pineapples, cotton candy sweetness. Some mild notes of pine hop resin. Very big, robust nose, I could smell it as soon as I cracked the bottle.

T: Bittersweet tropical citrus fruits, much like the nose there's a good dose of pineapples, mangos, overripe peaches . There is a nice sweet malt backbone on the finish that keeps this a very balanced brew. Hops do linger more with each sip. Not in your face bitter, but very pleasant. Alcohol is very well hidden.

M: Heavy end of medium bodied, slick hop oil feel. Carbonation is smooth and spot on creamy feel. Slight alcohol as it warms up but hardly noticeable.

O: You could tell this was a Lagunitas brew after the first sip. Huge tropical fruit aromas and flavor. Has that signature west coast tropical thing going on. Very nicely balanced ale and most definitely worth a try.

A: Pours a clear yellow-gold with three fingers of white head that fades into a thin layer with decent lacing.

S: Lots of citrusy hops on the nose with oranges, pineapple, and grapefruit dominating. Not overly complex, but the sweet citrus aromas are very nice.

T: The flavor is more grapefruit-forward, though there are pineapple notes as well. There are some lightly bitter pine flavors toward the finish, but aren't overly bitter. The finish is clean and citrusy with only a light bitterness.

M: Medium body with mid-high carbonation that accentuates the hops well.

O: A good beer, overall. Not overly complex, and definitely not a pale wheat ale, but a good IPA with lots of nice hop characters without being overly bitter.
