Pours golden orange, mostly opaque and cloudy with a somewhat thin, wispy white head. Decent lacing left along the sides of the glass, more so during the latter half of the beer. Nose is a cornucopia of fruits and sweetness; grapefruits, apricots, grapes, raisins, pears. It has a nice rum and booze-like aroma overshadowing the whole thing, too. Taste follows right along with the fruit heavy theme, also adding slight orange to the mix. The booze flavor is noticeable as well, but adds a nice complexity to the flavor profile rather than hindering things. Wheat and yeast heavy all around; grains and biscuits finish things off and show up strong in the aftertaste. Another big flavor that comes out quite a bit after the beer has already been swallowed - burnt sugar, like the top of a creme brulee. Very interesting and very taste. Hop flavors are weedy, musky, and heavily vegetal. Medium body, lots of carbonation.

Very unique beer, tasty, no doubt. Possibly a little too sweet at first, but it mellows out nicely and turn into one hell of a drinker. Wheaty and fruity all around, with a nice alcohol warming through and through. Not sure if I'm in love with some of the hop flavors, though.

a: hazy dark yellow body, two fingers of thick clumpy head stay till the last drop, leaving clumpsof lacing all the way down the glass.

s: sweet spicy sugary hops and wheat.

t: pretty tasty wheat beer with a very nice hop forward profile.

m: medium body, good carbonation level. little hop twang on the tongue, but not dry or overly bitter. maybe a little oily.

o: one of my absolute favorites that got me into craft beer to begin with.

A: Clear, amber colored beer with a tall white head that shows good retention and a very nice spiderweb of lacing.

S: Big citrus and floral hops are prominent, kind of like an IPA. Very clean, fresh and fruity in the nose.

T: Starts with a bright hop character, as in grapefruit and other tropical fruits. Also features a spicy quality. Although it is fairly bitter, the malts chip in for balance in a very good way.

M: High in carbonation, with a creamy, light body from the wheat malts. Lingering hop resins and citrus fruit make up the finish, with just a touch of sweetness.

O: I'm not a hop head, but can appreciate this hop-forward wheat beer. It's put together well and makes for a tasty brew. Recommended

Bottom Line Up Front: This is one of my favorites from Lagunitas. A very drinkable beer with wonderful hop flavors and aromas.

Decanted 12oz bottle into a tulip glass.

Appearance: A pale golden beer that has high clarity. Pours a beautiful head and nice sticky lacing around the glass.

Smell: floral hops, bread, something sweet. It just smells really good!

Taste: Citrusy hops with a good medium body and a light finish.

Mouthfeel: Right amount of carbonation and smooth feel on the palate.

Overall: A great beer to drink. I typically get this as a treat every so often since it is one of my favorites and typically a few dollars more than Sierra Nevada. A real good beer and I really like A Little Sumpin' Wild as well if you can find it.
