Appearance: Pours golden with a diesel 3 finger head that retains itself nicely.

Smell: Mango and citrus from the hops.

Taste: Nice citrus hop profile backed up by some bready malts. Smooth, balanced and delicious. The aftertaste is nice and pleasant in that it's both bitter and sweet. Again, this is a nicely balanced beer.

Mouthfeel: Oily stickiness coats the tongue nicely. Despite this, the brew is on the lighter side and very easy to drink.

Overall: Easy drinking with a nice balanced flavor. What's not to like?

A: poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass, straw colored with just a tinge of amber orange, short white head that dissipates quickly leaving little lacing, clear and highly carbonated

S: absolutely perfect fruity hop smell, beautiful citrus, strawberry, fragrant hops balanced by a good malt backbone

T: sweet ruby red grapefruit, bitters towards the middle, finishes with a piney grapefruit peel quality

M: medium bodied with good carbonation, great aftertaste

O: the appearance was a total disappointment, however it completely improved with regards to taste and smell overall a terrific beer that missed in one little area

served from a 12 oz. bottle

pours with a fairly large off white head that stays fairly intact throughout the session

features a full bodied copper orange color

aroma has strong citrus/grapefruit notes with no detectable malt presence

taste is also characterized by a very strong hops character also continuing the citrus/grapefruit character

mouthfeel is very nice with a satisfying roundness and a very nice level of carbonation

overall, this is a satisfying brew, that would probably be well suited to drinking in warm weather. I would say though that it is far more characteristic of an IPA than a wheat beer. I would have to say it's really not a good representation of anything that would call itself a wheat beer.

I do have some reservations, due to the fact this is supposedly an american wheat ale.

Left at my house after a recent homebrew session. I've fallen in love with this beer. It's so crystal clear its hard to fathom that this is a wheat beer. Served in tulip shaped pint glass at 40F, allowed to warm as well.

A: a golden color with orange hue, lacing for days (the wheat and torrified wheat do an excellent job)

S: Citrus notes, a hint of grapefruit and pine

T: Malty up front, but not overly sweet. The hop backbone perfectly balances out the maltiness, and has a dry finish, but a sweet aftertaste, with little lingering hop bitterness. The most floral beer that I've ever tasted, but considering the dry hop schedule in this beer it's no wonder.

M: the wheat in this beer gives it a wonderful body. Had i not looked at the homebrew clone recipe i would never have guessed its roughly 50% wheat (white, toasted, torrified).

O: this is the most perfect beer i've ever tasted. It's so balanced and drinkable you'd never guess it was 7.5%ABV and 65IBU. It's wonderfully aromatic, floral,. and damned tasty. I hope the upcoming homebrew clone Can You Brew It recipe i'm brewing comes within 75% of this beer, because its amazing.
