A foamy two finger large head, with a dark yellowish body. Small but rapidly rising carbonation. Beautiful sight.

The hops are definitely noticeable in the nose, but it's the citrus that dominate the smell.

A fantastically balanced taste. Just as in the smell, the citrus and hops balance each other out in a beautiful fashion, I also note hints of mild chocolate in the aftertaste. Carbonation feels quite mild, tickling one's tongue in a delightful manner following the immediate taste sensation. Otherwise, a very drinkable beer - almost intimidatingly so. All in all, another exceptional brew from Lagunitas.

Bought as a six-pack for $11.

Ok so I will start by saying that this beer is probably one of my favorites now, after I drank a six pack.

L: I drank these out of the bottle so I will base it off the bottle. The Lagunitas short and fat bottle is cool. I like the way it looks. And the label for this specific beer is really nice. I love the name and styling and the pin up girl on the front draws you in.

S: This beer smells very good. I like how it smells hoppy, but not too much like an IPA. It smells piney, maybe a bit citrusy. But overall fresh and crisp.

T: Best thing about this beer. The taste is truly amazing. It is piney and citrusy like the smell, but besides that, this beer is a little hoppy, not too much, though that taste profile is definitely present. It is also quite crisp tasting, very light. Not too heavy and "sticky" like you might get with an IPA. Its also kind of bitter, but along with the other flavors here, it works and is welcome. For me at least. Not too bitter at all, just a slight bitter taste.

F: The feel is maybe a little harsh. Pretty carbonated and bitter so maybe it stings a little, but drink one and then these beers go down like water.

Overall these are delicious beers. Very easy to drink after youve had one or two and for that reason maybe a bit dangerous haha. Kind of a high alcohol content at 7.5 % abv. I easily drank 5 of these in about an hour and a half. ( gave one from my six pack to a friend.) I was pretty drunk. Just meant to have a nice night with some friends, but ended up kind of drunk by the end of the night.

Seriously fantastic beer. Found these at a Stop and Shop, and havent found them again since. I even looked at my local distributor today but couldnt find it. One of my favorites now though, hope I can find them again.

A much more drinkable counterpart to Lagunita's A Little Sumpin' Extra Ale, with more toned down malts to let the hops stand out and shine. Definitely potent, but better.

Had a 12oz bottle in a restaurant.
Golden color, citrus/grassy smell.
Very hoppy for a Pale Ale, very noticeable citrus taste, and somewhat grassy after-taste.
Quality beer, didn't expect it to be this good.

Aggressive hoppy beer. Pored into a tulip glass to a 3/4 inch head, the lacing stuck to the glass ok. Smells of citrus and piney, with hops aroma. Decent taste but not to balance for me.

This beer pours to a giant rocky ivory-colored head with moderate retention, sitting on a slightly hazy, sparkling pale gold body; lacing consists of some really nice rafts and ladders. The nose is an intense, delicious blend of grapefruit, pine and almost perfumey florals, with hints of lemon and orange as well. The palate starts with bitter grapefruit and florals, which are joined mid-palate by a nice pineyness and a good view of the lightly-toasted malt foundation. The finish is pretty clean, as just a bit of soapy nuttiness is left behind, followed by a crisp bite from the carbonation, a flash of clean wheat malt, and then a moderate bitterness that lingers, with a hint of perfume, for a few minutes. Mouthfeel is biggish for the light body and the texture is nice and creamy. The moderate carbonation really only makes itself known on the finish, and the alcohol is very well-hidden. (12 oz bottle, no code date)

L: Shiny straw yellow color with a swirly head.

S: Fresh-picked hops, candi sugar, and beeswax.

T: Heady and herbal with a grainy backbone.

F: Appropriate body and carbonation and a characteristic stickiness.

O: A very solid offering in this style.

A very versatile and drinkable beer. When you are looking for a wheat beer, but want something with a little more bite, Little Sumpin' delivers. When you've got a taste for something hoppy, but don't want a bitter hop-bomb, Little Sumpin' delivers. A party at my house is not a party without a case of Little Sumpin'. That said, I generally don't buy it during Winter, when I tend to go for brown ales and some asked IPAs. little Sumpin' just seems to be a warm weather beer for me. I like it ice cold and with grilled or spicy foods. It is a great beer.

Pours a yellow / orange hue with little head.
Smells tropical with citrus fruits leaning towards orange and tangerine.
An orange hoppy pop upfront taste. Mouth feel is soft and wet. Ends with some fresh bread notes.
This beer is crisp, refreshing and smooth. Carbonation moves the flavors along the tongue quite nicely.

Not much to be said from what hasn't been already. It's a great beer through and through, definitely one everyone should try at some point. Very well balanced with rather complex flavors. Well done.

Golden yellow in color, poured a 2 finger head. Smells of hops and citrus - pears, very expressive. A little bitter (in a good way) in the mouth showing flavors of tart citrus - lemon and pear. Flavors persist very well through the back-end and the finish lasts for a good 30 seconds or more.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle into a nonic pint. Pale golden in color, with a very slight bit of haze, topped by a thick pillowy white head a good two inches tall. Head fell fairly slowly, leaving good lacing.

Aroma is fresh, pine-y and citric, with a bit of malt sweetness in the background.

Flavor is bright and clean, with an excellent harmony of citrus hops and sweet malts. Really, this is possibly the first beer I've tasted where one does not outweigh the other on the palate- grapefruit-ishe hops seem to actually ride on top of a honey-like malt base. As the beer sits on the palate, some earthy and floral notes from the hops rise up along with faintly toasted biscuit malt tones The distinct 'snap' from the wheat in the grain bill is here, just like a good weizen. The finish is just slightly dry with lingering floral hops.

Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, a little syrupy, thicker than might be expected. The alcohol punch is surprising- this does not seem like a 7.5 % beer. This one could definitely sneak up on you.

This was my first Lagunitas beer, and I am beyond impressed. The sort of balancing act they accomplish between the malts and hops is frankly amazing. This is a classic Pale Ale, and one that everyone should try if they're serious about beer.

Pour into a lager glass. Not too much head, and the head dissipate quite quickly.
A lot of citrus tasting. Light, not really hoppy at all. The alcohol level is misleading, as it hides its 7.5 degree really well.

Golden ale with a nice head of foam. Smells like a citrus pine forest. Crisp hoppy taste. Tastes like it should be served cold.

I'd like to do a head to head with a regular Lagunitas IPA.

L: Bright, pale yellow, pretty clean-looking. Moderate carbonation. A dense, foamy head that dissipates pretty quickly into thin clouds. Pretty thick lacing, though, that sticks pretty well.

S: First thing that came to me was citrus hops. Pine and floral hops mixed in with just a hint of breadiness, wheat. Pretty strong scent from the malts, too. The result was a nose that was very sweet and earthy.

T: Taste follows scent, but with the malts on equal footing with the hops. Citrus, pine, earthiness, brown sugar. Moderate hop bitterness. A little sweeter than I would like, but the balance is pretty good. Alcohol is very well masked.

M: Medium body and a little syrupy. A bit sticky, but there's no astringency, so that's a plus. Aftertaste lingers, mostly citrus hops and malt sweetness. Pretty smooth and creamy, but nothing outstanding.

O: Very drinkable and refreshing. It had been hyped up for me quite a bit and I wasn't disappointed, so it's a win for me. It's a little sticky-sweet, though. I'd rate a little higher if not for that, but I'll be sure to pick this up again. It's my first from Lagunitas, so I'll wanna give some of their other brews a try.

EDIT: Subsequent tastings have been less sticky-sweet. This one might have had to do with temperature or some other factor, but the malty sweetness probably isn't as heavy as I might have made it seem.

This is one of my favorite IPAs. If you like grapefruit & citrus tastes in your beer, you'll probably like this one. It's my go-to beer during football season.

12 oz. bottle ice cold at restaurant poured into a nonic pint glass.

A= Amber golden with a little bit of haze, nice thick foamy pure-white head that slowly settles, lacing clings all over the glass as I drink.

S= Smell has some grassy and toasty notes with citrus and caramel.

T= Nice amount of citrus and pine hop flavor with malt sweetness and earthy wheat background.

M= Lighter side of medium body with moderate carbonation.

O= Nice and crisp, has enough bitterness and hop backing to balance out sweetness from the malts. Great interpretation of a wheat beer.

look is rich deep and attractive golden amber, although a much lighter amber, still rich in color, smell is clean deep again and minerally, taste is rich, full complex and long, wheat is prominent with the hoppy feel throughout, i prefer this hop profile to most IPA's as it is consistent and subtle compared to most, a great beer for those trying to develop a hop feel. watch out potent and these sneak up, very smooth for a 7.5. feel is great, easy for the flavor and again complex. a solid beer for the fridge and will purchase frequently. overall a solid solid beer, solid enough to be very good!

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. The aroma is a sweet, thick caramel candy with background notes of wheat, and citrus (leaning more sugary marmalade). It pours clear and oily with a gold hue and a white, dense soap head that leaves a light, messy lace and has a moderate messy retention. The taste is a medium high sweet with a medium bitter supporting note. The texture is smooth and oily with a soft foam carbonation and a medium body. The flavor profile is primarily caramel with a bitter citrus and wheat touch. It finishes with a clove and bittersweet citrus zest that leaves a mostly clean and lightly astringent aftertaste with mellow remnants of clove and a mild citrus with a slight cloying caramel sugar and a late bread note.

Poured from the bottle into a craft pub glass. Nice thick white head with great lacing. Head dissipated slowly. Smells of floral aromas, hoppy, citrusy lemon notes. Tastes of lemon rind upfront that shifts nicely to bitter hops at the end. Overall very smooth and drinkable. A good summer beer.

For the longest time I could only find IPA and PILS from Laguniats brewing. I listen to A Mediorcre Time With Tom & Dan podcast from Orlando FL and they always sing the praises of Daytime, Little Sumpin, and Sucks. I finally found "little sumpin" at a Whole Foods in Miami and I think it's my new favorite.

I didn't think I'd be a huge fan of this beer since I'm not generally a fan of hoppy brews. But this struck the perfect balance between the hoppiness of a pale ale and the wheat tones. Really great.

Very drinkable delicious Wheat Pale ale, the light hoppy notes mix so well with the wheat flavors.

Very session-able and is always a go to for any sort of get together.
