Dark brown pour, small tan head 1/4". The bourbon barrel was very faint in the aroma. Had some brown malt feels to it.
Taste had the heat, but not the bourbon flavor or malt roasting. The cappucino of the base beer was never huge, and its even more absent here. Mild residual sweetness.
I dunno, haven't been overly impressed with their barrel program. Hoppy beers though. . . damn good. Not that this was bad by any means, I'd drink it again if it were on tap.

Poured on tap into tulip.
A - Nice dark black beer with a moderate khaki head.
S - Lovely roasted coffee, chocolate and vanilla scents with mild bourbon and oak undertones.
T - Awesome vanilla, coffee, milk chocolate and bourbon characteristics. Seems like a much bigger beer than around 8%. Not very boozy, very complex and delicious.
M - Very creamy, rich and thick. Carbonation is toned down a bit, but it compliments the viscosity.
O - Very glad to have had this on tap. This is bounds better than the non-barrel aged Cappuccino Stout in my eyes. It's a shame this is now apparently retired, as I'd love to try this and its variants again!
