A Little Sumpin' Extra! Ale poured light gold with a thick creamy head. It left a glass filled with thick lace. The color was too light for an imperial.
The smell and taste exploded out of the bottle with strong citric sweetness. Grapefruit popped, much like Hop Stoopid. The first few sips were very powerful. Unlike any other ale I've had, however, the flavor quickly faded. The last glass-and-a-half of the bomber were bitter but bland. The feel was thick, bitter, and lasting, and it was a pleasure to drink after a long hot day working outside.
A Little Sumpin' Extra! Ale was up and down. At first, it seemed to be something special; however, by the end it was a good, but run-of-the-mill, IIPA.
