Light copper, hazy body. Great thick finger of head with lots of lacing.

Much maltier and boozier than I expected from a Double IPA. The hops are there, but they don't show up nearly enough.

Initially very sweet, then turning tannic and almost astringent in the end. The hops are also there in the end, but only as bitter, no real hop complexity.

Nicely drying, low carbonation which I like. Pretty full mouthfeel overall.

Not bad, but not an Imperial IPA. Not enough hop representation happening for that. Maybe an imperial copper ale?

A- clear, light gold. Big frothy bone white head (meringue like) that dissipated slowly. Excellent lacing.

S- clean, piney, hoppy, floral.

T- bitter, citrus/grapefruit, piney, spicy, tangy.

M- lightly carbonated. Medium body. Dry.

O- another very good, high quality offering from Lagunitas. Definitely worth having (again and again).

Cheers!

12 fluid ounce bottle.
Bottled on June 25th, 2014.

Appearance:
Crystal clear golden body. Fluffy white head collapsed and left great sticky lace throughout.

Smell:
Notes of citrus. Sweeter floral notes broke through as well.

Taste:
Good notes of wheat. Sweet citric hops kicked in towards the finish. Sweet taste overall, not much from the hops other than adequate notes of wheat. The hops hid the relatively high alcohol content pretty well, leaving this brew surprisingly smooth.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Goes down nicely.

Overall: Great version of a good wheat ale. The hops are modest but drive the flavour. Not overpowering and very easy to drink considering the 8.5% alcohol content. Recommended!

Definitely enjoyed the extra in this Lil Sumpin. The beer poured a nice clear copper with white head that left a nice lacing. The scent had pine and citrus and the taste followed suite. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall this is a great beer and is well worth the try.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into tulip. No bottle date is apparent.

A: Pours a light golden honey brown with generous 3 finger white head that settled fairly quickly and left moderate lacing.

S: Pineapple, grapefruit, fresh squeezed orange juice. Pine needles.

T: Dominant citrus fruit flavor. Ripe pineapples, grapefruit. Slight bitter hops.

M: Reasonably light and crisp. Lingering hop bitterness.

O: Outstanding IPA. Reminds me a fair amount of Dirtwolf. I should find a few more bottles for sure.
