12 oz. bottle with a 160 4 code....about June 10th? Not bad. Poured into a teku glass.
A: Pours a very clear gold with a one finger white head. Lacing is sticky, but head dissipates pretty quickly into a bunch of islands. Small amount of carbonation visible.
S: Typical Lagunitas grapefruit smell with a nice bit of wheat and lemon. As with most Lagunitas products, there is also a bit of "herb" present in the smell, too.
T: Strong grapefruit and pine hop present with the familiar wheat and lemon twang. Moderate bitterness and alcohol present. Ends a bit sticky with a lingering hop resin.
M: Stickly sweet and full in body. Really coats the mouth with all the good hop flavors.
O: Sumpin's slightly bigger sister...not a crazy DIPA, but an interesting wheat DIPA nonetheless. I definitely enjoy this Sumpin' variant when it comes out.

12oz bottle poured into a globe.
A: Sundrop yellow with excellent clarity. Creamy white head retains very well. Lots of sticky lacing.
S: Honeydew melon, mandarin orange, pineapple juice, sweet sticky bud, passion fruit. Very juicy and tropical. Doughy and lightly honeyed. Tropical esters.
T: Earthy hops, sticky bud, pine. Pineapple, tangerine, honeydew melon. Peachy esters. Spicy alcohol. Toast, wheat dough, and a slight honeyed taste from the grains. Lots of hop flavor, but only a moderate bitterness. Oily and piney hop finish.
M: medium bodied. Sits light and fluffy in the mouth, and any sense of weight is quickly whisked away by aggressive, small bubbled carbonation. Big alcohol warmth permeates the mouth and throat.
O: Basically an imperial version of Sumpin' Sumpin'. As with its more diminutive counterpart, the wheat is somewhat downplayed in taste (but not body) as the hops are the focus. Bitterness is tame, but not flavor. This is brimming with enticing tropical hop taste. But for a good dose of alcohol warmth, it drinks much the same as Sumpin' Sumpin' too. I think I still prefer Sumpin' Sumpin', but this will not disappoint by any means.
