Poured from a bottle purchase in Chicago on DLD after a day of beer drinking bliss.
Beautiful in color when I poured it into my Bell's tulip. Pours a dark brown color similar to a Belgian Dark Ale with a nice off white head.
It smells of hops. There is a hint of the sweet malty goodiness I am familiar with.
Taste is ok. I thought it would be citrus because of the hops smells but it was not. It had as a burnt malt taste. It does finish citrus and floral. I just do not really like the finish on this one.
Mouthfeel is above average. It was not smooth to the palette. It does not coat. This portion of the review is more about what it does not do verse what it does. There is almost a harsh aspect to it that I do not care for.
Drinkablity is average. It is harsh and not smooth at all. I will not be going out of my way for this one.
