On tap at Papago Brewing 4/12/11. Serving temp too cold.
Clear and brown with a small tan head. Retention suffers at this alcohol level, but there is nice lacing on the glass.
The flavor is a pleasant melding of malt and hops, not sweet, with balancing bitterness and some citrusy hops. A nice fruity ale character underlies everything. This is not a wimpy beer, while remaining well balanced and drinkable.
After it warms ip a bit, the aroma is sweet/sugary, blended with hops.
It is full in the mouth, with some alcohol warmth.
Nicely drinkable in spite of it's strength, with an excellent balance of malt, bitter, fruit, and hops. I recommend this beer.
Serving type: on-tap
