12 oz. bottle poured into IPA glass. Bottled on 9/3 (Julian date of 246). Consumed on 10/3.
A - Golden amber. Clear/no cloudiness or sediment. Readily apparent carbonation. Gentle pour yielded less than a finger of head. Lacing quickly slid down side of glass and rejoined remaining beer.
S - Fragrant. Sour/tart mango and lemon. Higher ABV apparent by smell.
T - Lemon, orange rind, with a hint of sour cherry. Moderate hoppiness. Does not hide higher ABV. Something weird above the finish on the back of the tongue... lasting sourness.
M - Lightly bodied with nice carbonation. Nice foaminess in the mouth as the beer warms.
O - Somewhat disappointed... expect more complexity in flavor and a fuller mouthfeel out of a good higher ABV beer. This beer had qualities of a session beer and was inappropriate for an ABV of 8.8%.
