From the September 2010 release.
Pours a golden orange color into the chalice, with a sticky and thick white head, about 2 inches thick. One of the most inviting appearances I've seen in a while.
Aroma is loaded with citrusy west-coast hops, which is all fine and well, except that this beer is being called a Belgian Style Pale Ale. The hop aroma masks the yeasty and phenolic aromas. Belgian IPA... maybe, but at this point its to America for the BSPA style.
The first taste is again up front with the citrusy and slightly piney hop flavors. The hops seem to provide more flavor than bitterness, which is quite nice. Unlike the aroma, the Belgian side of this beer is a bit more apparent in the taste. The yeasty spiceness and phenols are there, but not as prevalent as one would hope.
Mouthfeel is wonderfully smooth and crisp, which really helps take this beer to a higher level of enjoyment. Overall, this is a fantastic beer. We don't get Lagunitas here in NH, so this is only the 3 Lagunitas beer I've had, the others being Hop Stoopid and Little Sumpin Sumpin. While I thought Little Sumpin Sumpin was fantastic, the Belgian twist really does take the beer up a notch.
That being said, to rate this beer to style, I can't see calling this a BSPA. Belgian IPA would be a bit more appropriate, but still the American hops are too much. Thankfully, I could care less about style when I'm not reviewing so I can still enjoy this beer for all its greatness.

A nice dark honey color, slightly cloudy.
Smell: about average, I guess. Maybe a little tiny bit of banana ester?
Taste: round, complete, plenty of hops with a firm malt backbone. Delicious.
Mouthfeel is right with my favorites. The hops recycle nicely allowing me to draw out the pint and linger over the delicious flavors.
