12oz bottle poured into an oversize wine glass.
A- A 1-inch thick cap quickly dissipated into a thin ring with minimal lacing. The pour was a deep golden color with hints of amber. Very faintly cloudy with almost no effervesence.
S- Notes of citrus fruits, with bready yeast and malt in the background.
T- Wow, there's a lot going on here. Very complex. Definite hoppy presence, but cut with a fruit and grassy presence. Notes of sweet malt finished with a clean, somewhat bitter finish. Overall, an excellent balance of a multitude of flavors.
M- Seems thicker than it looks, with an almost greasy feeling to it.
O- A lot better than what I was expecting. Certainly not as wild by wild ale standards, but a nice twist on the standard IPA. Hop lovers should be happy, as hops certainly dominate but not overwhelm.
