I drank A Little Sumpin' WILD in my tulip at cellar temperature.
It looks similar to standard Sumpin' Sumpin', what with its clear honey-orange color topped with a nice and creamy-looking white two-finger head.
The aroma has the same awesomely assertive citrus notes of Sumpin' Sumpin', but with some sweet Belgian yeastiness and funkiness thrown in! A hint of malty vanilla, too. It smells fantastic.
It tastes exactly like a great Belgian IPA is supposed to... hoppy, fruity, and bready. First it hits me with orange and lemon, and then it leaves a dry, bitter aftertaste of hops, citrus rinds, and bread.
This might be slightly more full-bodies than regular Sumpin', but otherwise, it's about the same.
The Belgian IPA may be a fairly new style, but I would call this a pretty definitive (and delicious) example of one.
