Wow where to begin...
Pours out a hazy rich copper color with a few carbonation bubbles. The head starts off three finger high (if I had used a bigger glass I believe I could have even achieved a four finger head). But!, the head is off white and settled down to a half finger height from beginning to end. Good lacing around the glass. Just agitate the ale some and the head quickly returns to one finger.
The aroma is rich with bitter pine like hops, bread and yeast, sweetness of alcohol and malt.
The taste is just an attack on the tongue of all kinds of rich flavors. I certainly pick up the Belgium flavors, particularly from the yeast. Sour citrus and piney finish. Yet at the same time even the malt sweetness lingers with dry hop bitterness. Making this ale perfectly balanced. Very west coast because this could pass as an Imperial IPA as well.
Be careful because the body is medium and easy to drink still! Light carbonation and a slick finish on the back of your tongue.
This Ale whether you consider it a Belgium Strong Pale Ale or an Imperial IPA has everything you would want in an west coast American Pale Ale. Despite the high ABV 9:4%!! Each flavor is balanced almost to perfection!!

A nice dark honey color, slightly cloudy.
Smell: about average, I guess. Maybe a little tiny bit of banana ester?
Taste: round, complete, plenty of hops with a firm malt backbone. Delicious.
Mouthfeel is right with my favorites. The hops recycle nicely allowing me to draw out the pint and linger over the delicious flavors.
