A - poured a light/pale golden color with a thick three finger cream colored head, ever so slight haze. Left ample lacing and always appeared lively.
S - nose is dominated by a sharp spicey hop character with lots of citrus and pine. Nice fruity phenols from the yeast bouquet round it out. There is also some definite malt notes of biscuit and breadyness
T - the taste is a great marriage of two styles, the hops in the flavor and Bittering aspect dominate the taste with massive amounts of fresh pine, citrus and resin followed by a wall of bitter at the back end. The Belgian yeast character provides a great fruity and phenolic character with a spicey finish. The malt is far off in the distance but does bring some sweetness.
M - mouthfeel is pretty thin with low carbonation. This also does a great job of hiding the abv, at 8.8% this is drinking very easily.
O - this is a really good Belgian IPA, this particular example tastes really fresh. I think they do a great job at striking a balance between two styles. Drinks really easy and was a very enjoyable experience.
