Very clear golden straw color. Foamy one finger head.
Subtle green hops and slightly funky yeast in the nose.
The hop bitterness hits the tongue right away and lingers long after the swallow. The flavor is decent, but hard to pick apart from the bitterness. There's a little malt character if you go looking for it.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fits this beer well. But, the carbonation coupled with the massive bitterness attacks the tongue and leaves the mouth feeling dry and worn out.
This is a good representation of the style, but I could use more Belgian yeast character. It's good, but I don't know if I'll buy it again in the near future. I'll probably try something new and continue the quest.
