Thanks, pwoods, for this one in my Christmas package!
Pours a clear warm gold with a finger deep of thick, frothy white head. The head fades immediately to a well-retained skim, and spitty spots of lace hang around the walls of the glass.
The nose isn't particularly strong. Hits of the fruity, yeasty esters cross with bitter citrus hops and a punch of isopropyl alcohol.
Overall feel of the beer is light, clean, and nearly crisp - just barely hindered by a slick stickiness that hangs around for quite awhile on the palate. The high carbonation lends itself nicely to the blends of flavors. The yeast plays a dominant role, lending a fruitiness to the bitter citrusy hops and the light toasty graininess. There's a bit of honey-like sweetness in the finish.
Overall a really nice beer. It's light, crisp and tasty, while still having a delicious fullness.
