Lagunitas's sumpin' subtle, floral honey undertones balance the brewery's characteristic hop profile

This one is just a bit lighter and sweeter than the rest of the ales from this brewery. Nice spiced fruit and floral aroma, same for the flavor up front with a smooth sweety and sticky bitter finish. Yet another good one from Lagunitas!

Appearance: Cloudy yellowish orange. Decent lace after frothy white.
Smell: Apricot and grapefruit.
Taste: Pepper, bitter citrus, and dry.

I really like this. It does mirror Raging Bitch from Flying Dog. It's just that unique, sour, peppery something with a bite. I'd drink it again.

I'm close minded so take that into account. Can't get over the Belgian yeast taste. Have to focus with each sip or get a gag reflex. Otherwise not bad.

Not bad for the high ABV, I'd drink it again. Good job Lagunitas.

Very odd wild flavor...nothing is too distinguishable enough to get a true sense of the brew. Good, not great, drinkable for the abv but my taste buds aren't that impressed. Uneventful as a Belgian IPA or wild ale

Poured from bottle into a tulip glass, light clear golden colour with great retention and lacing, creamy foam cap on it.

A - pleasant yeast and wheaty aromas of bubblegum, estery apricot fruit, banana, a bit of musty yeast notes, a bit woody and floral, dry citrus, some cherry. Spicy hop notes, serious bubblegum aromas though, this fades as it warms though.

T - has a much more complex array of fruity and floral notes with the yeast being a very active contributor rather than a backbone. Notes of pineapple, grapefruit, yellow plums, vibrant florals, with quite a bitter hop contribution leading to a drying citrusy and wheat finish. Tangerine, creamy body, some bubblegum, lemon, very robust with a nice hop forward charcter, I should mention it has a fantastic depth and flavour profile with no perceptible alcohol.

M - as mentioned a very creamy, smooth body, moderate assertive carbonation to really brighten it up, thick fruity yeasty body, very sessionable, and a lingering warmth to it reminds you of the strength. A bit of sharpness on the finish initially, then a pleasant lingering aftertaste.

Seriously impressive beer, the belgian yeast does wonders here combined with the fruity and wheaty base. Light upfront florals and citrusy fruit, but then also a great depth of farmhouse yeast, some tropical fruit notes, and spicy earthy notes. Lovely lovely beer, each sip keeps you on your toes and bring new flavours.

This one's quite the looker, there. Rich golden amber body with a soft white head taking up the top finger's width of the glass. Good retention, beautiful lacing.

Aroma is banana and yeast, somewhat bready and maybe some faint grassy hops.

Taste starts off with a bang of both sweet belgian notes and a surprising hop bitterness. Belgian fruits and sugars meet a harsh piney bitterness. A fair amount of alcohol as well.
The aftertaste is bitter and almost pithy but without the citrusy element if that makes sense. But also a high note of candi sweet. Also the fact that it's almost 9% is quite evident here.

Beautiful golden straw color.
Smell is hoppy, floral, rose notes.
Taste is more of the same, with a nice amount of carbonation. Belgian flavors are there, slight funk, very balanced brew but definitely an IPA.
Great beer

Pours a rich golden color with large head that disappears fairly quickly and leaves moderate lacing on the glass.

Smells of bready malts and mild hops.

Tastes like bready malts and spices, with mild hops on the way out. Very pleasant overall.

Moderate bodied with mild carbonation. Goes down quite smoothly.

Overall, a very solid beer. Tastes more like a Belgian in flavor, but goes down like an IPA. I would buy this again.

Beautiful pale straw color, deep yellow. Wonderful aroma of bubble gum, yeast, and big cloves.

Nice mix of west coast hop bitterness, mostly piney resin hop mixed with belgian yeast characteristics, clove, yeast, bubble gum.

Love this beer, brings two great styles crashing together into a wonderful mix

On draft - 12oz in a goblet. Great yeast aroma, fruity, with a good hop finish. A little thin in the middle. Would definitely buy again.

Bottle, no date. Beer pours a light, cloudy, tan with a frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy Belgian yeast with it's sourdough bread like notes. To be honest my expectations fell at this point, I have never had a Belgian IPA that I really liked, all that changed. Taste is that same Belgian yeast and citrus from appropriately selected hops, but there is a pleasant malty sweetness that makes this beer work. All too often Belgian IPAs end up too dry and the bitterness is poorly balanced and unpleasant, not so here. Great job. Mouthfeel is on point with that nice stickeyness IPAs should have. Again, great beer.

A-a clear golden color with visible carbonation bubbles and a fingers worth of white head that sticks to the glass

S-bready malt, sweet summer fruits, yeast, and mild hops

T-pale bready malt backbone, citrus, and a nice balance between yeast and hops

M-medium body and low to medium carbonation

Overall very drinkable even with the higher ABV. Very nice balance between a Belgian beer and IPA.

Cold is this beer's friend. Drink it quick, it does turn to an off flavor quickly with time. That being said, it is a fruity hoppy clean crisp beer when cold. This rating is based on a colder temp.

Was really good at first and easy to drink but became worse with a stronger lingering alcohol taste and smell.

Julian date 276.
A Pours a rich golden body with a fluffy off-white head.
S The aroma is jumping out of the glass, tropical hops and a peppery spice. Pine and oranges as it warms up.
T Interesting combination of ripe fruit on the first sips that lead to a flash of bitterness and the slightest amount of spice. As it warms the taste of the hops is more bitter and piney.
M Slick going down and mildly bitter after. When warmer I would call the mouth feel creamy.
O This is a fantastic Belgian style IIPA. Not to funky and hoppy in all the right ways. This ale is dangerously drinkable for the alcohol content.

Reminiscent of their Extra! offering with some nice zesty pepper, rind, and funk mixed in. Great Stuff at another insanely low price point.
