poured 12oz bottle into Duvel tulip.

A - Light peach orange with a fat 2.5 finger white head. Very nice retention and tons of lacing. How does Lagunitas do this so consistently across all their IPAs?

S - Citrus, apricot, and peach bitter and floral hops. Sweet malts and yeast build on top to round it out.

T - Solid hop flavor up front with some citrus, apricot, and peach notes. I get some floral and bitter right before the sweet malt and yeast come in. A really nice flavor with the slightest hint of tart and funk that finishes with some bitterness.

M - Light to medium body with a nice clean finish. Carbonation is spot on and there is some sweet, bitter, tart complimenting each other.

O - Just another outstanding IPA from Lagunitas. They really have mastered IPA's and I will drink everyone they create. Just delicious.

Goldenrod with creamy lumpy white head that instantly leaves clumpy trailers.
Signature fresh pineapple along with fresh orange slices, some fresh hop cone resin and waxy spicy yeast underneath - enchanting.
Clovey spice cookie, some dough, peaches and orange jam, then a big phenol hit (and bananas?) followed by tangerine and Creamsicle hops with hints of pine. A bit of vanilla peaks in from somewhere.
Orange Swedish fish finish then more tingling clove and clean bitterness.
Medium, some chew, soft, slightly oily, no burn.

For the money, there's no brewer that delivers gorgeous hop freshness like Lagunitas. And that's why this doesn't totally work. While it make a top Belgian IPA, all that clove only serves to get in the way of the hops. Lots of fruit, creamy on the palate, more IBUs than it appears at first, and Belgian character you can't miss.

Flawed in the best possible way.

Orange amber with a thick, coarsely-composed white head. Rich lacing.

Lagunitas-like hops; citrusy and pine-y, of the American ilk. Sweet crackery pale malts and a honey nut Belgian yeast pulse.

Surly bitterness and back-half sappy pine hop-burn. Grapefruit and lemon and honeydew melon. Spicy yeast and spicy hops push boundaries with a piquant slashing. Notes of pink peppercorn, coriander, and orange peel.

Semi-burpy. Alcohol unveiled. A bit astringent, as in acidic. Medium-tailored body is decent.

Too obnoxious with the West Coast IPA hops, too rigid with the yeast strain. Un-relentless spiciness. I like it, but it's a chore.
