Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into an IPA glass.
Appearance: A dense white head forms above a clean and clear gold body. A small amount of bubbles continue to rise to the top throughout the drink. Good lacing throughout.
Smell: Pine up front. Sweet notes of citrus. Subtle notes of soggy wood.
Taste: Hops, hops, hops. Strong hit of pine. Sweet, bready grains attempt to balance things out midway through. The hops pick up steam again, this time they have a citric taste. Hops resonate well into the finish. Modest kick of alcohol also breaks out in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Wickedly smooth for such a hop-forward brew. Moderate carbonation, lower than many other beers of the DIPA variety. Dry finish.
Overall: For the most part, everything works for this beer. A hop-forward brew with complex and dynamic flavors.
